In all honesty everyone...
I did not like the 100% hard pass on this. No other choice.
I will do whatever everyone else wants to do.

Buy everything or sell immediately so I can save up for a Ring of Protection +4.

If this is not the case I would like to know what is happening among all of us.A crystal clear picture would be nice moving forward so I understand what to do. The horse has been beat dead multiple times now, but I want to from know from everyone how this is going to work out. Whatever it is...it is.

Let's try Kiryl's idea. It is actually the fairest way to do it. If he wants to keep track of the totals, then it is eminently doable.

I say if someone owes for a magic item, then a tab is started against future earnings. This avoids selling/buying penalties and lending others money. It should work out. We can buy and sell items between us easily enough also.

Potions and scrolls are generally to low value to divy coin-wise compared to other items and should generally be 'party' loot distributed to whom they best serve vs paying all the transaction costs to liquidate and divide.

DM: If Idril reads a scroll, for example flaming sphere, does that automatically become part of her known spells?


Negative, sorcerer is limited in max number of spells known per level.

Belt of Con +2 = 4,000 GP (+1 HP per level; +1 FORT save)

Ring of Protection +1 = 2,000 GP (+1 deflection AC)

Scroll contains 2 divine spells: CLW 1d8+3; Lesser Restoration (Curral could also use these in a pinch with his UMD skill)

Kiryl recommends Sanrael get the belt (yes I know he will be in debt forever) as he is a front-line fighter with no means of self-healing.

Further recommends that Kiryl take the ring for the same front-line fighter reasons (and going in the hole about 500GP).

Hopefully there will be some loose coin/treasure down the road to balance it out.

If someone would like to claim either item for any reason or if Sanrael would like to have GP instead of the belt, make your thoughts known.

I am okay with that also. You guys in front are taking more damage unless we fight a fountain. Divine scrolls are useless to Idril.

Yes. Due to the 2 point increase in CON, the belt will give you +2 HP (+1 for each level you currently have) and +1 to your FORT save.

The spell below would work or something similar that effectively makes your weapon magical, divine favor gives a luck bonus, not enhancement, so would not work.

Shadow trap would only trap a creature's shadow, not a shadow creature.

When I cast burning hands I most likely am going to burn everyone up front.
How about burning hands first, front line move in,and I step back and fire magic missiles.

Or I can remain up front and keep burning until I go down.

If the party agrees to take our chances with the shadows (awaiting Pnin's yes vote or alternative suggestion) this is my recommended strategy:

Rounds prior to melee

Idril casts mage armor on self, Curral starts inspire courage performance, Kyril casts magic weapon on Pnin, Sanreal, and self. Kyril gives Curral the CLW wand (6 charges left).

Rounds 1-3
The three PCs with magic weapon engage in melee.
Curral goes for a CLW touch attack.
Idril casts magic missile.

Round 4
The three PCs with magic weapon engage in melee.
Curral uses the wand to CLW as necessary.
Idril casts magic missile.

Round 5
The three PCs with magic weapon engage in melee.
Curral uses the wand to CLW as necessary.
Idril casts magic missile.

Round 6+
Round 4
The three PCs with magic weapon engage in melee.
Curral uses the wand to CLW as necessary.
Idril casts disrupt undead.

As long as it's just the 2 shadows we should have a very good likelihood of success. Say 90%.

[rant] Omg, every single time I miss the discussion! I never know when to check. I know there is an indicator at the top, but I never check. This page goes from dead to VERY active in the blink of an eye! [/rant]

That being said, I am really very sorry for slowing this down!

Anyway, I can definitely do a lot of damage if I can roll correctly and flank with someone. Give me a divine weapon, and I will go after these bastards like they're spiders!

Agree with Kiryl that the scary thing is if more come from behind the curtain.

I don't know enough of what we could buy at the town except some sort of permanent magical items instead of just blessing the weapons. Maybe even one or two would help if we have to go more than 4 rounds.

I am fine going for it and retreating if needed (if we even could . . .)
