Summon 1 was my first choice. 2nd choice was ear-piercing scream.

DM: I took the Rogue Talent "Canny Observer" By my reading this is a +4 to my perception for traps, secret doors, secret objects, and to hear conversations. I am not quite sure what active Perception check the bonus wouldn't apply to. I think this would stack with Trapfinding too . . .

My questions:1) Is this how you read the talent. 2) If it is, how do you want me to roll Perception from here on out: +8 or +12?

Yes, for rangers your BAB will go up +1 each level, so at level two it will be +2

Idril wanted to be silent and not part of overall talk play until necessary. Idril stinks as a character now but she can be absolutely good in this game.

Thanks. Heal, Knowledge Dungeoneering, and Knowledge Nature are all class skills for a ranger so add (+3 trained) to each. For Heal also add (+1 wisdom)

GM I think I read something wrong for Idril. I thought I had burning hands at first level bloodline. Apparently it should be third. I misread because it was so easy too, and thought 1st was third.
No scorching Ray for third like I thought.

I want to understand if we are sharing what we gain as a team. Or if my lady says yes I want a magical item, so I lose major gold. And be penalized for it. I would like to use and sell as necessary. If not, Idril will be out on all magical items until it fits.

While Kiryl's method has merit, I think I like Sanrael's method better. Flows more natural to me.

As to who gets the Cloak, we can all benefit, no obvious pally's with high save.
I say we do random I,S,C,K,P: 1d5 ⇒ 2

So, if everyone agrees, Sanrael will get the cloak this time.

My purpose here was not to get the Cloak for Idtil, but the understanding of how the process for all of us will work it out. Taking or being taxed gold for getting an item seems wrong to me.

Anyone can take the Cloak.

If Cloak +2 comes up we move it along however is necessary. No Gold needs to change hands. I think whatever is better for the party works out. Right Kiryl?

Fine with Sanrael getting the Cloak.
But what a gentleman he is. Sanraell shows high class among the mundane. I will need to keep an eye out for him.

100% hard pass here. One character getting an item worth 2,000GP + an equal share of the coin/other treasure is an extremely inequitable distribution of resources and will be detrimental to long term party balance.
