You are seeing right through Kael's facade! He's actually an anti-paladin sent by the Hellknights of Inevitable to lead the party back so they can be properly 'addressed'. Idril will receive special attention from her former masters.

Well it seemed like we needed a more comprehensive 'face' and I just don't fit that bill at all. Role playing to an 8 CHA isn't always the best for situations. I even picked an angry looking avatar picture!

I would have been something else altogether, but was created in large part because the party needed front line and healing; built last on purpose to make sure we had some party balance.

Indeed. While I don't think you will find me as congenial as say an Ibram Gauntt, I'm certainly more palatable than Kiryl. Plus I'm a little bit better front line and can provide at least as much healing, but probably more.

I'm definitely not a 'goody two shoes' type or some crazy righteous crusader, but I do have a very good sense of right from wrong. I think that once given a chance you will find me nowhere near the acquired taste that Kiryl was. Heck, you might even find my company enjoyable.

Wow I thought that was taking something away because we could not decide upon the use of the scrolls. Totally thought that was a penalty against the party since everyone wanted weapon. Two and two of each turns into three of one.

And yes, I know I said have Pnin go first and promptly went first myself.

Reasoning: Pnin go first when we are looking for traps/percepting; when we are hearing noises (dangerous?) in the fog have Kael go first 'just in case'.

That way Kael can melee (no ranged) and allow everyone else to range/flank/support while reducing the need for them to melee.

Go sorcerer, then paladin, then dragon disciple. Though. I think you have to have Draconic bloodline. Ask Curral, he played one.

Idril-I love your enthusiasm, but a flaming sphere is 5' in diameter so really only can get one 5's square at a time. You might get 2-3 if all the zombies are hugging to start the round.

DESCRIPTION

How do I determine SR? Thought it was 10 + level of spell and spell bonus (Chrisma for Idril +4). If SR is only 10 + spell level flaming sphere is a complete waste. SR 12 and then nothing. Unless a tiger beast rolls a one all that happens is a tiny ball of fire. Great if I am a character who wishes to be an arsonist.

Is it possible during a fight to use a second level spell,( i.e. flamingsphere) and use magic missle instead? Give up second to get first?

SR is different than the save DC.

Save DC is 10+spell level+CHA modifier

SR check is 1d20+caster level to overcome opponents SR

This is not SR. Anyone you use the flaming sphere against gets a saving throw. Saving throws versus your sorcerer spells are generally 10+your CHA bonus+spell level, so 10+4+2=16 for flaming sphere.

If you want to burn a 2nd level spell slot to cast a 1st level spell, that's okay with me.
