Yeah, daemons are fantastically developed across Golarion lore. Between the book "Horsemen of the Apocalypse" (updated in the collected Book of the Damned hardcover), the old Great Beyond setting booklet and the newer Planar Adventures, there's a host of information on what's their shtick, how do they stand apart from other evil outsiders and what is their realm like. With devils and demons mostly sticking to their traditional D&D lore and yugoloths being WotC property, Paizo had to invent a new major fiend type from the scratch, and they've done so beautifully.
I mean, I can hardly imagine any other outsider group which got more grounds-up creative content and love from Paizo insofar.

I mean I don't even run games in an established setting outside of this playtest, nor do I particularly intend to stick with Golarion after it, but I actually really quite like pathfinder's daemons - they're relatively interesting and distinctive.
Demons and devils are alright, but I'm a bit soured on them due to the fighting due to different alignments thing from D&D, and they don't strike me as super duper original in comparison (though, I do quite appreciate that PF demons have a thematic basis in sins).
I do kind of like asura as well though. To a lesser degree qlippoths, but that's mostly for aesthetic and some minor divergence from demons.

I'd like to chime in on finding a new name for Daemons. After all, it's the same word as Demon but it defines a different creature type.
It's a lot like if someone said: An "axe" is a weapon or tool, usually a steel blade attached at a right angle to a wooden handle while an "ax" is a chocolate donut. Oh, and a "donut" is a pastry shaped like a torus while a "doughnut" is a kind of marine mammal.
You get the point.
I'm also not fond of having dragons, wyrms, and drakes being different creatures but at leas those words don't sound the same; when I tell a player that a drake is attacking them, they never ask "Wait, tell me how that is spelled so I know what it is..."

Hopefully not the guy from Degrassi: Next Generation and popular meme.
