I am creating some maps for use in the playtest and will be sharing them with all of you; feel free to download for your own use. More will be added over time so keep an eye out for updates. If you have created your own maps and would like to share them here, please feel free to provide a link to your files.

These will be of various sizes at a suitable resolution for printing.

In Pale Mountain's Shadow

Gnarled Foothills

This map is sized 24x20 and is intended to be printed on a large-format printer.

Gnoll Camp

This map is sized 24x24 and is intended to be printed on a large-format printer.

A Treacherous Climb

This map is sized 24x36 and is intended to be printed on a large-format printer.

Approaching the Tomb
Approaching the Tomb (part 2)

These maps are sized 10x16, intended to be printed on two sheets of ledger-sized paper (11x17) and trimmed to bleed.

Nice... ran through all these last thursday but if I'd had these totally would have used them. Nice work.

Affair at Sombrefell Hall

Sombrefell Hall

This map is sized 36x26 and is intended to be printed on a large-format printer.

Sombrefell Hall second floor

This map is sized 29x12 and is intended to be printed on a large-format printer.

Sombrefell Hall third floor

This map is sized 8x7 and can be printed on a single sheet of paper.

Sombrefell Hall basement

This map is sized 9x10 and intended to be printed on a single sheet of ledger-sized paper (11x17).

Scarab Sages

I will put some map I made too.

They are not printable (I made them for virtual table top)

Hyenas (Probably too big though. The things are far away from each others. By far the map I like the least. Could have done better.)

Quicksand. This one is supposed to have the quicksands hidden on Roll20 until the PCs detect each one. I though showing them on the map would ruins the surprise. Not really usable as shown here. I can't show you a better quality for this one since I had to use a printscreen to made it a picture.

Gnoll Camp. I Made it a bit large because I didn't like that the gnoll couldn't notice you unless you are under their noses. That river took me forever (tried a lot of thing before that one)

Manticore. Not much to say.

Tomb of Tular Seft I edited the PDF to actually use the map. I took away most note (unless they where inside wall because I won't reveal them anyway) and make the "S" for the secret door disapear.
There is a more improved version of this one where I also put a wall before C7 so the PCs won't go in the labyrinth (they are supposed to not even notice that secret door) but for some reason I can't found this one right now.

I also use it for the Zakfha part, but maybe that make the path too narrow ?

I hope that could help some of you.

In Pale Mountain's Shadow

The Tomb of Tular Seft

This map is sized 39x29 and is intended to be printed on a large-format printer. The secret areas have been omitted and are below.

Secret room
Labyrinth entrance

The secret room and labyrinth entrance maps are small enough to be printed on letter- and ledger-sized paper, respectively. They need to be trimmed a bit and then can be placed on top of the main map once the secret areas have been discovered by the party.

this is very helpful. thank you!

I have made various changes to many of the maps that are mostly cosmetic in nature. The links in my previous posts will still work and point to the new files.

These are great. Thank you, sir.

I just realized that the application I used to create these didn't quite make them at the correct scale; they are slightly smaller than what is correct if printed as-is. They're still usable, but you may find them a tad smaller than what you're used to.

If you print these and want the correct size, you should print them at 113% scale. Sorry about any issues this may have caused, I just started using the application last week. I'll see if I can rectify this and if so I'll post an update here.

Thank you! These maps help a lot. Is there any chance you could upload them as images in addition to PDF files? It would make them easier to use for digital tabletop.

I have corrected the scale issue, they should now all be the correct size. The previous links should point to the new files.

I only uploaded PDFs as I intend to print them for use on the table, but I'll see about uploading image files as well. No promises, but if I find some time I'll look into it.

I have uploaded all of the above maps as PNGs in a single zipped file here. As I create more maps I will upload them as PNGs individually in addition to the PDFs.

This is brilliant - you've saved me a lot of prep. Thanks a lot!

Fumarole, what map maker are you using? I have been looking for something decent and these maps look amazing.

I use Illwinter's Floorplan Generator, along with most of the mods available for it on Steam. Not all of the assets in the mods are of great quality, but enough of them are that I keep them installed, even though it means scrolling through lots of items to find the one that I need.

Aren't you supposed to draw your own maps? That's one of the goals of Part 2. If you don't like drawing maps or being told what to draw, then perhaps this is valuable feedback data.

Yeah. That's a thing. I guess folks can just outright say they didn't like making their own maps? But I get the feeling we are supposed to try.

You guys are beautiful. I have part 2 coming up soon and just not enough time to work on making my own maps for them.

I don't mind drawing a quick map for a random encounter. However, terrain and layout is a pretty big deal in these encounters. It seems like if people put shrubs or rocks in places, that could make a big difference. Seems is you want uniform playtest data, having everyone draw different stuff could skew results.

This part, they're also trying to test a new format with encounter maps. They want to see if they can make more room for encounters by having less maps in the book.

For PFS, maps should certainly be provided by the authors of the adventures, but for this playtest I think it is fine. Some people simply do not have the time or inclination to make their own. Also, based on some other threads I have read, some people interpret the instructions wildly differently. Having samples that others have created may show people the error in how they interpreted the instructions, even if they do not end up using maps that others have created.

Many thanks for both the pdfs and pngs! I've found dealing with the maps the most frustrating element of GMing this adventure. Being a first-time pbp GM isn't helping. ;)

A little late, but here's my contribution:
