Where's the "missile volley"?

Advice

I'm looking for a specific weapon: a missile/rocket launcher that shoots multiples shots at once.

Now... you might be saying that it would be a little too broken, but some weapons consume more than a single ammo round per shot, meaning that if a launcher has 40 missiles and it consumes 5 missiles per shot, well, that counts as a volley; the damage is the total due to the grouped explosion.

While launchers "usually" shoot one round, there is the typical huge launcher that sends out 4 to 10 missiles that it causes more damage.

It would probably work like the cluster quality for grenades, in the Armory, as in it increases the radius and save DC.

If anything, like you mentioned, it could just be a rocket launcher that consumes more rockets for each attack. Its damage would still be in line for its level, like other weapons, of course.

At first glance though, missles are purchased individually and mini-rockets are often shot one at the time.

In short, you know the missle launcher that the armors have in Anthem? Yeah... still pretty far from getting it in Starfinder :P

Could have a longarm/heavy weapon that fires mini rockets with the automatic quality.

No, I haven't seen it. You can show me, though. I'm sure whatever it is, it can be converted over.

The main downside is that missiles are expensive so spamming a whole bunch of them will cut into your savings pretty fast. That said, I can think of two options.

1. The Duo/Trio/Quad Multistage Sniper Rifle found in the Armory fires off 2/3/4 mini-rockets with each shot. The description suggests it uses the rockets to redirect the bullet's trajectory to obfuscate the location of the shooter rather than saturate the target, but technically it fits your requirements.

2. Get a Dart Cannon (also from Armory), then invest in explosive darts (ie dumbfire rockets). The level 2 Light Dart Cannon fires 10 darts per shot, which should be plenty of boom. Throw in a blasting Fusion or two and you can alternate between single-target obliteration and area saturation. :)

You could just reskin the standard missile launcher and missiles. As long as the numbers are the same you can describe it however you want.

So I have a IMDS missile launcher with Tactical Missiles. The missiles do 6d8 damage in a 30 ft area.

You have a missile barrage launcher with missile cluster rounds. It launches 8 missiles in rapid succession that blanket a 30 ft area, dealing 6d8 damage to anyone there.
