D&D 2e Al Qadim

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

The boards have been on the fritz all day. It won't let me create a new allias so here is the background for my Eberron proposed character...

The Background of Sharon Goldleaf:
Sharon was born of a family of famous elven entainers in Sharn. She had a happy childhood and excelled in her study shows of everything. But she suffered from a deep shyness preferring the company of books to people. This kept her from following in her family so footstep as entertainers. Her parents set her up with a apprenticeship with a artifice.

Sharon grew up to be a beautiful elven maiden...but she is very socially awkward. She has opened up her own shop, but seeks the excitement of adventure. Her family occasionally commission items in secret that are odd...but are for 'performaces'.

Roger that! Should be there some time today.

Due to the boards being a mess the last few days (plus my lack of availability for the next two days), I'll extend the Eberron Recruitment to Sunday.

I’m not going to submit for the Eberron game, I’ve just got to much else going on right now to add another game.

Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

Mh Eberron is interesting.

Is this fixed now?

I think we're back!

Hey we are back!!!

I will post this character tonight after the game...if it is not too late.

yay we're back ^_^

I havE the character made on paper...I changed the allias as whatever happened to the boards made the other allias...broken...

I decided to go with Alchemist instead.,.I can do the same concept and have fun with the mutagenesis personality.,.

I am going to have to get it on Sunday night to put it up on the profile...if that is too late I understand.,.

Due to a complete mess on the boards, I will extend the Recruitment to this Saturday evening as I won't have time to review anything this week, too much going on plus need to catch up on everything else!

Good call.
...Even if I did want less competition for the two open spots :P

I'll throw this in the ring here for the Eberron game.

Finally got it done...

Will review and make announcements no later than Tuesday.

Tuesday? Sigh....

After all the message-board downtime, I'm just happy the considerations can happen at all xD

Yeah, some of us don't even remember what system Pathfinder uses...

I have 4 submissions for Eberron:

1. Doomed Hero - Aerin Aurora,
2. ScegfOd - Frank Engel,
3. Selene Spires - Sharon Goldleaf, and
4. Hayato Ken - Kana Cherryblossom.

Drow in Eberron are a bit different but let['s go with it!

I'll take all 4.

Head to Discussion, I will have the 4 of you meet as the other part of the group completes the current quest.

Eberron - Secrets of Sharn Discussion

Okay... I’ll keep an eye out in case you have room again in the future.

Damn, sorry, with the boards chaos I missed this submission, just go ahead and check in on the Discussion thread, you're in as well.

Oh OK.. if you're cool with that... Thank you.

Recruitment is OPEN once again for Bloodlines - A V20 Vampire the Dark Ages Campaign - Clan Lasombra

Unlike my prior Recruitments for this game, here you will start as a Vampire resident of Venice.

As part of your build you will be able to select one of the following Vampires as your Sire:

1. Prince Narses of Venice,
2. Lord Valdemar Childe of Narses,
3. The Prince in Exile Alejandro of Jerusalem Childe of Narses,
4. Thomas Brexiano the former Seneschal,
5. Khadijah Saadeh Ashirra Lasombra.

All I need is a concept to start with. I'll give this a week to see who appears interested and will select a submission based on that concept and the Sire selected.

This is a LONG running game, 10,000 posts. However, prior knowledge of the Chronicle is not necessary or quite frankly even desirable as you should not know anything of what has already taken place anyway.

Ignore this

  • Have a good day.

  • Recruitment is OPEN for The Ruins of Azlant AP

I have had time to run three games comfortably. I get the sense one of them is dying. I would like to run the Ruins of Azlant as its replacement.

Before I was forced to reduce my large gaming schedule to next to nothing, I was running 3 separate tables of this AP. I will give right of first refusal to players who were on any of those three tables.

I plan on picking the game up on the ocean and hand waving the Recruitment Roleplaying that I went through last time though my twist on that will remain the same.

Any interest here? If so, I will dig out the original Recruitment thread an re-post.

I'd be down to play ruins of azlant.

I might be interested in that one.

Hi, Jereru here would be willing to add Makanaky, one of the original characters to that campaign, to the list. I will comb through the alias and see what needs to be changed to adapt to the rest of the group.

So that is 3 with a possible 4th. I will leave this open a few days longer.

interested if there's an open spot for Ruins

If there's a spot open, I'd like to create something for RoA as well.

    Dotting with interest

    I’m interested.

That's a sufficient level of interest I'd say.

I will get something up later tonight or tomorrow with respect to Recruitment.

Jereru, for sure you are in as you had an original PC form one of the 3 tables.

Recruitment is OPEN for The Ruins of Azlant AP

    8. Finally, the build will be Gestalt. One side of the build MUST be from the following Pathfinder Society "Base Classes". The other is a class of the PCs choice.

Ask me about approved races if you want to do something unusual.

Pathfinder Adventure Path: Ruins of Azlant Player's Guide PDF

Hmmm. Interesting. It'll be awkward to build in HeroLab, given the custom Pathfnder Society classes, but I'm open to giving it a shot. Would you perchance allow a pathfinder-converted Warforged? There are several conversions out there. I keep wanting to play a Warforged Aberrant Aegis; he's constantly tinkering with himself, adding or removing features, etc. Seems like a fun thing to play here. Specifically because I can build him for the aquatic theme that I'm guessing will be big in the campaign.

Neat! I’ll rattle around some ideas, but I’ve always wanted to play Ruins of Azlant.

I'm working on a fighter/(not sure yet) descendant of Ambrus Valsin.

I do love Warforged, how would you justify being in Golarion?

Like any other construct; someone built him. :) Perhaps he was originally built as some dwarven wizard's bodyguard. Eventually he ended up being released from service, perhaps by his master's death, perhaps because his master recognized his intelligence and felt that owning him was too much like slavery. (Maybe both; his original owner saw him as little more than a construct, but after that man died, his heir didn't like the idea of owning an intelligent being.)

Ouachitonian, a wyrwood might be what you’re looking for? They’re Small constructs, and have more of a stealth and magic flavor than the warforged, but it’s something to consider.

Vrog, the game is not a proper Gestalt. One of the Gestalt classes must come from the list SS gave in his post, that is, here. The other one can be Bard, since we know you love them whichever class you choose :P The idea behind it is that we're all Pathfinder infiltrates, so one half of the Gestalt reflects it (and thus the corresponding Campaign trait is banned since it wouldn't give anything particular).

Those classes are an adaptation from the corresponding Prestige classes. I agree with SS some of them (Field Agent) are a bit hastily redacted, but you easily grasp the thing (e.g. save bonuses being 0 or +1 probably mean being bad or good saves, etc).

Makanaky was thought as being a thrown weapon expert, but depending on how the group goes I might change that (or try with a class other than Conscript, that might contribute something the group is lacking). His background won't change, though: an inheritor of the famed Gregaro Voth, he traveled from his home Mwangi Expanse to Absalom to join the Pathfinder Society, following Voth's steps.

I myself would be interested in playing a Wyrwood. Would make a nice companion for the Warforged (who could be reflavored as a new, bulkier brand of Wyrwood)

The idea is that my character would join the expedition to discover more about the origins of his kind as the original Wyrwood are Azlanti constructions.

Very tempted, but I've played Ruins of Azlant before. Could I trust myself to keep player knowledge separate at certain points, hmmmm...

Darvan grew up in Absalom as part of the Chelaxian exile community cut off from their homeland by the rise of the House of Thrune.

One of his distant relations on his mother's side was Sheraya Solistar, the last heir to the Chelaxian Imperial House of Asgavan and a famous Pathfinder. He grew up listening to stories of her exploits and wanting to follow in her footsteps.

After his teenage years were spent earning his keep on fishing boats, he was accepted into the Grand Lodge in Absalom as an initiate.

Upon his graduation of studies, he was presented with a Wayfinder that formerly belonged to Sheraya.

He was chosen to infiltrate the next ship to Talmandor's Bounty because of his promise and his connection to Sheraya Solistar. His place in the ship's crew was secured by his expertise in ship handling and his skills as a fisherman.
