So I made a handful of characters since im on vacation this week. Good lordy do I hate thinking about having the browse that spells chapter again.
My recommendations please:
1. Separate spells and powers.
2. Skip the alphabetization and just list them by level. It would be so much easier for leveling.

I heartily agree with number 1, rituals are separated out and so should powers.
Number 2 makes sense but I worry it would make it more difficult to find a spell if you don't know the level though. I think if they recreated the spell lists with short descriptions (just like in PF1) that would help you decide which spells you want when leveling and then the whole spell chapter could be kept in straight alphabetical order for easier referencing when you don't know the spell level.

Organizing spells by level is better while doing character creation, but it's worse for at-the-table lookups. (Obviously a PDF search if not using a book mitigates that, but books still sell.)
The 3.5e Tome of Battle: Book of Nine Swords organized maneuvers by school, then by level, then by alphabet. It worked fine except when either browsing or trying to find specific wording at the table.
Separating out powers is a great idea though.
