Is Doomsday Dawn cleared for Society Play?

I just tried to create my first Playtest event and noticed that under Pathfinder Playtest only the three PFS playtest scenarios are listed. Doomsday Dawn chapters are not listed.

Is there a distinction between the PF playtest and the PFS playtest? Is the module, Doomsday Dawn, not cleared for the PFS playtest?

Or is this just an oversight?

I found the answer to part of this question in the blog titled "Pathfinder Society 3: Organized Playtest" from Wednesday, July 11, 2018

John Compton wrote:

Paizo has created 11 different adventures for you to playtest, and we're including them all in the organized play playtest.

Pathfinder Playtest Adventure: Doomsday Dawn (August 2nd): The biggest playtest adventure resource by far is this series of 7 adventures that span a wide range of levels. Some of these are "traditional" adventures, whereas others are designed to stress-test different parts of the game. A common estimate is that each of these adventures runs about twice the length of a Pathfinder Society scenario, though it will vary by your group, play style, and familiarity with the rules.

So it appears not listing it for event creation would be an oversight.

I'm assuming that it's available for the PFS playtest even after the windo for the PF 2nd ed playtest closes?

In reading that blog, I also came up with one new question. Again, from that blog:

John Compton wrote:

Playtest Points: At the back of each Pathfinder Society Playtest scenario, you'll find a pair of half-page tracking sheets. Each asks you to record the adventure you played, the date completed, the GM's organized play number, the GM's initials, and a reminder to fill out that adventure's survey (see below). That means that instead of receiving a different Chronicle sheet for each adventure, you'll just fill in a single line of information. If you fill up your tracking sheet, just grab a new one and starting filling it in, too. Just keep these sheets together, much like you would your character's Chronicle sheets!

In addition, for each of these adventures you will earn a number of Playtest Points (PTP).

Earn 1 PTP for each playtest quest played. It's absolutely fine to play all of The Rose Street Revenge in one sitting and record it as a single event.
Earn 4 PTP for each playtest scenario played.
Earn 4 PTP for each chapter of Doomsday Dawn
For every 4 PTP someone earns by being a GM, they'll receive 1 bonus PTP.

So, with Doomesday dawn, do we have to play the full chapter to get the 4 PTP? (Which reportedly can take twice as long as a scenario.) If so, can we give partial credit of 2 PTP for playing half? I have some time windows where only 4-5 hours are available and I want to give as much exposure as I can to the new rules.

Also, it's not stated directly, but do you get the same points for GMing as playing? I see the bonus point for every 4 PTP, but the form and the post seem focused on the players.

I also would like to know when Doomsday Dawn will be added to list of reportable scenarios.

I am going to have 2 sessions to report by the end of today.

I also need to report doomsday dawn.

Now that GenCon is over, can someone post the pregen characters that were used. It would be TOTALLY beneficial for us newer GMs to have pregens to hand out (select from) for players that do not want to spend hours building a new character for one session. And, since the second scenario is 5th level they will have to build another (or bump the one they used at 1st level). Using pregens will also allow for GMs to see how the staff at Paizo wanted the characters to look.

If it is not legal to post the pregens, please say so. I won't hold it against you.

Same here, I also need to report for Doomsday Dawn and I'm afraid if we get too far into it before I can get it set up, I'll completely forget.

Rumour has it that they are collating some corrections and will release the newest version of pregens soon.

Yes, Doomsday Dawn is part of the Pathfinder Society Playtest. I'm investigating why it's not already reportable and how quickly we can get that added.

Will Doomsday Dawn be playable with the Playtest Iconic/Generic PCs? (not that I have actually seen those yet - anyone have a link to where we can look at them? Are they available online somewhere?)

The pregenerated characters should be available on the website shortly.

Since the pregenerated characters are levels 1 and 5, the only Doomsday Dawn chapter for which their levels match is the first one: "The Lost Star." You're certainly welcome to use the 1st-level pregenerated characters for that adventure, and you can always use these characters as inspiration or as a starting point in designing your own PCs.

I find the pregens useful in gaging how closely I hit when creating characters. If my character has three times the trained skills, I figure I might need to check my steps.

It is important to note that the surveys for "The Lost Star" in Doomsday Dawn are also looking into questions like "how long did it take you to build your character", so using a pregen will reduce the amount of pertinent survey data we'll get from your report, even if it won't affect your ability to report the session for Society playtest purposes.

True, but I have two tables of Part 2 to report, but it is not available on the reporting form
