HP 101 of 110 - AC 24 (T 13, FF 21) - F +10, R +5, W +12

The Cleric gives a quick nod to Kilthan, "Either we get out of here or we fight this thing, there is no revealing this to the others, as we are not supposed to even be here."

"Quick guess, speculation as it were," Rohara says, "Would it not have been great to release this thing on an arena full of people. Say just as a match is done."

"Well, we have time to prepare our magic defenses to their fullest and heal ourselves to fight this."
Justin will continue to heal and use his wands.

He scratches his head and continues to think: "Wasn't the evil plan to send it to the arena to consume the champion. The arena isn't off limits. Getting aid to the arena and handling any disaster there with more gladiators seems more prudent than possible dying in a fight and letting something horrible overcome gladiators one by one before organized resistance is able to form. But we are ready to go, let us go defeat this while we are ready."

Justin will bless everyone if they have the time.

"Maybe we can use magic and pop in and surprise it!!"

Lets recap actions

Round 1 Creature pounds on ceiling, Aarakess casts detect magic, Justin Remove Wand, cast shield+LoH, Skorhlad good hope, Rohara Cure critical on Justin

Round 2 Creature pounds on ceiling,Aarakess Touch of Fortune (Justin), Justin stows wand of shield, removes wand of exp retreat, stow wand/LoH, skorhald haste

Round 3 Creature pounds on ceiling,Aarakess Fortune Hex (Kilthan), Justin Casts shield, stows wand, Skorhald Rally Cry

So I would say we are going into round 4 with the creature starting to pound on the ceiling again, then you teleport to appropriate location

Round 4 Justin bless, Aarakess and Rohara dim door

If you look on the map too, you guys have flanking. Won't matter for Skorhald with the one rolled nor with Kilthan's 2 rolled. Might help with Justin's bite. I'll have to dig into everything and recovering from my 16 hour work day yesterday. Update coming up at some point

[ooc]Justin, blessings of fervor and haste don't stack so you lose +1 there. Flank and good hope weren't factored in so you gain +3 from that. So total would be 9BAB+6str+1Weapon+1Undead+2blessings of fervor+2inspire+2good hope+2flank+3smite-2aura=+26 first attack, +18 second attack, +23 haste attack, and +21 bite. So all your attacks hit, and the first smite attack the smite damage is doubled since it is undead. Your AC will improve by +9 to 33 as you have indicated since you do not have any other resistance bonus from like a cloak

Justin's first attack does 41, second 110, 3rd 38, Bite 19 for 208 damage...yikes!

As you pop in for battle Rohara continues to bolster your abilties with magic. Justin takes full advantage and hit the creature three times with his axe, one attack leaving a horrible gash, falling to the floor. Still alive Just bits down on the closest thing resembling a throat, ripping it out....killing the undead worm like monstrosity.

Heading back to the scroll room where you fought the tiefling you open the door to the north

A central pillar of green marble carved in the likeness of a segmented worm supports the ceiling of this square room. The room is dimly lit by a single incense burner that sheds a sweet, fruity aroma. The room is lined with woolen tapestries depicting coiling green worms, and contains a bed, an armchair, and a cupboard. Near the bed is a small nightstand and an ornate, elongated darkwood trunk with a steel plaque on it of a skull infested with worms..

Sitting in the armchair with a glass of wine is a zombie. The silent figure does not rise to attack but instead lifts the glass to its mouth in a semblance of drinking. The description matches that of Ekyam's sister. An angry red indentation around her neck is visible even from here.

Heal DC 15 or Perception DC 20:

The cupboard contains personal effects and clothing of a traveling cleric, including an ebony walking stick, a dark traveling outfit, and a rucksack. On the bedside table are a hooded lantern, a jug of red wine, and a pair of smoked goggles.

With a scan of detect magic, the trunk emanates an aura of abjuration and necromancy.

The trunk is an art object both disgusting and fascinating. Made of darkwood and bound with steel, the trunk measures 36×18×18 inches. A steel plaque representing the unholy symbol of Kyuss, is nailed to the lid. The side panels are painted in tones of black and green with a cycle of apocalyptic images that runs around the trunk like a frieze. The images are divided into two horizontal strips, underground and above ground, by a cutaway of the earth’s crust. Underground, the horrible figure of a man made of worms lies imprisoned in a huge stone monolith. The figure has been represented in perspective on all the trunk’s four sides. Huge green worms writhe in the surrounding caverns and break through the cavern’s crust to invade the above ground part of the paintings, where a sickly green light illuminates a blasted landscape. There, the writhing worms tower over a population of monstrous undead and naked, terrified victims.

Kilthan nods, "A clean strike... though I'm not sure quite how we'll return the body just yet."

He takes a breath, "Let's finish this... Hopefully we can get back in time to rest before our own battle."

Aarakess looks to Kilthan:
We can teleport back. I imagine that Rohara can preserve the corpse. I doubt we can raise it, although perhaps some day we will find the way.

Heading west there is a short hallway before opening into another room. A brazier in the northwest corner lights this rectangular room. A green and black checkered curtain hanging from a steel bar fixed near the ceiling conceals the south wall.

Surprise Round

As you enter the room and trap goes off at the same time the curtain pulls back revealing a shape of a shivering mess of phosphorescent green corruption surrounded by cracked, leathery coatings, always oozing, secreting, thickening, and breaking open, with dark eye-globes covering its body. It casts a spell a cold, cloying miasma of greasy darkness. Only good and neutral creatures are harmed by the spell.

Kilthan and Jag, Save Will Save DC 19 vs fear (Justin's aura for +4 applies.) or be [url=http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/coreRulebook/glossary.html#panicked]panicked[/url for 11 rounds and flee the room.

For everyone else Spell Damage: 5d8 ⇒ (1, 1, 8, 1, 1) = 12 and be sickened for Rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 1 unless a Will Save DC 17 is made. Made save removes the sickened condition and half damage.

Round 1

It then casts and a green cloud that surrounds this room and through the hallway covering everything of obscuring your sight past 5'.

Everyone needs to make a Fortitude Save DC 16 every round or be Nauseated while in cloud and for 1d4+1 Rounds after you leave the cloud's area. Remember if you are sickened from the other spell you have a -2 to your save. Visibility is reduced to 5'

Spellcraft DC 19 (surprise round spell):
unholy blight

Spellcraft DC 18 (First round spell):
stinking cloud

The minute per level spells or longer cast when fighting the creature in the other room is still in effect. Any round/level spells are done.

For Id'ing the creature:

Knowledge (planes) DC 24:
This is a Demon called an Alkilith.

Knowledge (planes) DC 29:

Alkiliths are highly intelligent and surprisingly quick. An alkilith attacks foes by lashing them with its acidic pseudopods. Alkiliths are completely immune to acid, and they are immune to sleep, paralysis, stunning, and polymorphing. An alkilith’s oozing body simply ignores most attacks, but good-aligned weapons can pierce its defenses. Even then, only bludgeoning weapons can produce maximum effect.

Knowledge (planes) DC 34:

At will, an alkilith can dissipate itself into a noxious cloud of vapor as toxic as a cloudkill spell. An alkilith is highly resistant to magic and is immune to the effects of toxic gases. Alkiliths can command nearby oozes, directing them like puppets.

Knowledge (planes) DC 39:

An alkilith can attempt to summon a hezrou in battle, but it usually prefers to rely on its spell-like abilities: cone of cold, contagion, desecrate, detect magic, dispel magic, enervation, hold monster, magic circle against good, stinking cloud, unholy blight, and wall of ice. If a battle turns against the alkilith, it can use greater teleport to escape.
