<p>The pregens obviously already exist, so not providing them to everyone seems a bit silly to me. The only thing I can see stopping them from doing so is a concern that most people will use pregens during the playtest, thus denying Paizo valuable feedback on character creation. But I don't want to take them out thinking they're going to make this awesome character they have in their head and it turns out they get stuck playing a pregen.
