Perhaps its time to retire the rogue, the paladin and other subclasses

I am really looking forward to making a 2E rogue who is legendary in like 5 or 6 different skills so I can jump 40 feet in the air (10 feet higher than the fighter in his heavy armor), disappear into shadows, and lie so good that not even magic can detect it.

While fighters have more arsenal to do direct damage, the sneak attack feature forces me to set up my own opportunities in battle and perhaps even leverage one of my many skills to gain an upper hand.

Rogues are skill experts and in a game where skills are useful and interesting, that can be a fun role to fill.
