Rules Questions

Does Invisibility spell fade from you if you cast Create Pit at the enemy's square?

We can't continue our campaign without official answer to this question and we can't find it anywhere.

From the spell.

"Causing harm indirectly is not an attack. Thus, an invisible being can open doors, talk, eat, climb stairs, summon monsters and have them attack, cut the ropes holding a rope bridge while enemies are on the bridge, remotely trigger traps, open a portcullis to release attack dogs, and so forth. "

Cast pit on an enemy yes casting it on the square no.

Caveat: if the creature is the square cloaker, gelatinous cube, mould etc maybe.

P.s. I am not paizo.

Also from the spell
"For purposes of this spell, an attack includes any spell targeting a foe or whose area or effect includes a foe."

Basically, if the spell calls for a saving throw it is an attack.

If you cast Create Pic in an area that contained an opponent, yes, it breaks invisibility.

If you cast Create Pit in an area that did not contain an opponent at the time of casting, it does not break invisibility. It does not matter if opponents later enter the area of effect.

The same hold true with spells like Wall of Fire. If no opponents are affected, or are forced to roll a save at the time the spell is cast, the spell does not break invisibility. It would not matter is opponents were forced into or crossed the wall at a later point in time.

you could have just asked someone in those 9 years...
you would have gotten the same as the above posts.

I will also concur. If they got to save it's an attack. If they fall into it after it's cast, you're in the clear.

id like to know how this invisibility question caused a holdup for 9 years without someone on either side just being like Dm decision or TPK from a meteor hitting the realm.
