Valet Familiar, Forgotten Trick and Crafting...

Rules Questions

Hi all,
If I took a level in a class that granted me a familiar and I took a familiar with the Valet familiar archetype and I had the Forgotten Trick ninja trick...

...since the familiar is listed as:
"Teammate (Ex): A valet is considered to have all the teamwork feats its master has."

If I used Forgotten Trick to gain a Combat Feat that it is also a Teamwork feat, my familiar would enable their usage?

For example, if I took Precise Strike or Outflank with Forgotten Trick?

Obviously there would be the problem that the familiar wouldn't be able to flank because most of times it is a tiny creature...but if I made it bigger (i.e., using a wand of Enlarge Person on it), would it work?

Also...there is any other easy way to grant flanking to a tiny creature?

Also...I was planning to use this tactic in PFS, so I know that Cooperative Crafting is replaced by Alertness...but...

...the familiar would still have my ranks and my Craft skills as class skill, right? Could he still Aid Another to grant me a +2 bonus on a skill check, right?

For example...on Craft (Alchemy)??

Thanks,
Skarm

Yes, the Valet Familiar would copy any teamwork feat temporarily gained via Forgotten Trick.

Enlarge Person does not work on most familiars because that spell can target only humanoid creatures. But some familiars, such as the Donkey Rat, Goat, and Wallaby, are small. The goat is a good choice because its attack deals more than 1 damage and it has a good carry capacity because it is a quadruped.

If the familiar is engaging in Cooperative Crafting, then it cannot Aid Another in the crafting because it cannot do two things at once. Cooperative Crafting gives the same +2 as Aid Another except that Cooperative Crafting's +2 bonus counts as a circumstance bonus and does not require an Aid Another roll. It also doubles the crafting speed.

Ahem.

Sorry, I had forgotten the second sentence in Share Spell. But you will have to check with the GM whether casting a spell from the wand counts as the master casting a spell on the familiar, because a common interpretation is that the wand is casting the spell.

Valet familiar loses Share Spells...

One thing to remember with Familiars is the Feat: Evolved Familiar. Using this and a 1 pt Evolution you can give 5' Reach to one of the Familiar's attacks. This gives it the ability to threaten with that attack, and thus Flank.

Also remember that Familiars use either their Str OR Dex to attack with:

Familiar Basics wrote:

Attacks: Use the master’s base attack bonus, as calculated from all his classes. Use the familiar’s Dexterity or Strength modifier, whichever is greater, to calculate the familiar’s melee attack bonus with natural weapons. Damage equals that of a normal creature of the familiar’s kind.

So based on this, taking a Scarlet Spider, the Evolved Familiar Feat, and the Outflank feat with Forgotten Trick, in a Flank your spider from 5' would have a +9, plus your BAB, to hit, before any magic items or buff spells. Now your spider won't do much damage, but also remember that a Valet familiar can still deliver Touch spells so there's that at least.

Finally, I believe there's a chain of feats you can take to give something Share Spells, if that's important for your Valet Familiar.

Share spells only works with actual spells cast by the master. Not scrolls or wands or such
