For a level 12 Wizard with 108,000 GP to spend, what is the best equipment to grab?

So far my list includes:

Headband of Int +6 36,000 gp
Cloak of Resistance +5 25,000 gp
Ring of Sustenance 2,000 gp
Handy Haversack 2,000 gp
Mithral Buckler(Spell Storing) 2,005 gp
Silken Ceremonial Robes (Spell Storing) 1,030 gp
Buffering Cap 2,000 gp
Pearls of Power (3 level 2's) 12,000 gp

Total 82,035 gp

Thinking about getting these:

Belt of Con +4 16,000 gp
Quicken Metamagic Rod 35,000 gp

I'm sure I'm missing out on some great gems.

I'd definitely go with the Belt. You need all the HP you can get with d6 hit die.

Ill add a Con +4 built. I guess it looks like I'm not missing out on too much equipment? Just add more spells to my book and scrolls I suppose.

Well, with all of the above equipment, you have exactly 9965 gold left. A lot of magical items cost more than that. I suggest a Ring of Protection +2 to increase your AC. You'd have 1985 gold left for spells and scrolls.

Spell storing shields & armor need to have an enhancement bonus of +1 as well, unless there's a house rule in play. This would up the cost of those by 3K each.

Eyes of the eagle (2 500 gp, +5 perception) or spellguard bracers (5K, reroll casting defensively checks 3/day and a bonus to do so) are worth considering IMO.

I would also try to hang on to at least a little bit of gold as well, you are at the level where material costs for spells are a thing, so you want to keep some pocket change for the first few encounters until you are able to sell new treasure.

With that being said, if your DM rarely/ever throws things like Dispel Magic at your characters, consider some of the Permanency effects, like Darkvision if your character doesn't have it, or Reduce Person.

Dont underestimate the usefulness of Sleeves of Many Garments for the price of 200gp and/or a Quick Runner's Shirt for 1000gp.

You could also consider picking up a small selection of scrolls and/or adding some extra spells to your spellbook to start out.

After about level 5 to 10ish depending on campaign AC for a Wiz is a joke, miss chance, spell effects, etc as well as plain ol hiding behind the meat shields is how a wizard lives. Trying for high AC is trying to die. YMMV

Do you have craft scroll? If you do I'd say keep some gold for scribing, like a good amount, maybe 5,000? Go to a library and pay the price to learn new spells, cheapest way to go, very very important for a wizard. Very very important. Wands are good, especially if you have umd. If you have umd then go with a wand of hermean potential, amazing lvl1 cl1 spell. If not, a wand of obscuring mist, wand of enlarge person, definitely infernal healing. If you want something offensive as a lvl2 wand scorching ray is nice even at it's base level, for a wand anyways.
