Good adventure path for all-investigator adventure paths?

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

As listed above, what adventure path would be solid for a party of investigators who investigate various things?

umm...

lots of adventure paths start with a mystery and end up with the party having to punch dragons and giants and demons OH MY!

imho, it's going to be rough to get through a whole ap with a party of investigators, i would think.

that being said, maybe Carrion Crown or Curse of the Crimson Throne?

Curse of the Crimson Throne could certainly work, for the earlier books at least. The first two books of Rise of the Runelords could work with some effort. I struggle to think of any others if you want to focus (even just initially) on investigating things.

Of course, a party of investigators could easily be shoe-horned into any AP if they are intended to be the party that happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when everything starts.

Interesting party concept though. Should be interesting.

Notably, I'm also open for third party adventure paths, if any seem to be particularly viable.

I would think Carrion Crown would seem ideal. Apart from having a literal trial that requires investigating in book 2, pretty much the entire path is something of tracking down and investigating who is behind the starting murder in book 1 and why, and doing this by solving small mystery adventures along the way.

Now, there may be some struggles with dealing with haunts and undead without a proper divine and what not that might require some alteration or tossing the party a bone especially if they're creative. But if the idea is investigation, it's probably the best option off the top of my head.

Frog God's The Blight would be really neat with all investigators. Urban, very dark and corrupt, reminds me in spirit of fictional places like Bas-Lag.

War for the Crown (the current AP)

Yea war for the crown so far would probably work

EN Publishing's Zeitgeist might be worth your looking at ? The PCs are members of an elite Mounties-type police force in a kind of steampunky fantasy setting and the first third or so is almost all investigating; later parts might get a bit more challenging, but there is still a lot of investigation to be done.

Maybe the Strange Aeons AP? Particularly if each Investigator is built to develop in a different direction, using archetypes and the like?

Hell's Rebels, without a doubt. You have the advantage of mostly humanoid enemies (with some NOTABLE exceptions). You have the ability to do heists, intrigue, and ambushes. And there's the potential for lots of spy missions. For the flexible GM, this AP should be in the top 2.

That would probably work. it would also be a fun homage to Call of Cthulhu.

Investigators use the Alchemist spell (officially extract) list, so they aren't too badly off for bad status removal spells, with the glaring exceptions of Dispel Magic (and eventually its Greater version) and Break Enchantment (and eventually Greater Restoration). If you are in a situation where you really need one of those spells, Channel Energy, or 7th through 9th level spells, it could be rough, but otherwise Investigators are pretty all-around competent, so with some care it should be possible to build a party that can survive a great variety of challenges.
