The Pathfinder Society playtest FAQ is a great starting point for what this means for organized play. We have an upcoming blog that will provide yet more information. We also look forward both to sharing more in the coming days as well as involving the community in the campaign's evolution.

Excited for the new edition, but with it goes a sad goodbye to many of characters I created and enjoyed playing. Some I can re-create and redo in first edition. I also have many more characters centered around race boons that I have yet to get too and probably never will with this news.
With this news are there plans to finish up chronicle sheets for the more recent AP's while in first edition? Things like Strange Aeons and War for the Crown? It certainly would give me more incentive to keep my AP subscription going to the end of first edition.

Okay, a far bigger and heavier elephant in the room -- the local conventions sometimes have a hard time filling PF 1.0 as it currently stands.
What provision is there going to be to schedule a full slot (and gain coveted 'convention support status') that supports both 1.0 and 2.0 under such circumstances, with SF 1.0 ALSO grabbing for gameshare?
