The Mayan gods demand blood!

Gamer Life General Discussion

Sup guys, Im a little stuck in making interesting rooms for my ancient Mayan themed dungeon. Please throw me some awesome ideas for combat and noncombat encounter rooms before I am forced to play a blood tribute!

You need to use a blood golem. It is the perfect surprise enemy for that requisite sacrificial altar.

Perhaps a room of illusions dedicated to the Centzon Totochtin, the 400 Drunk Rabbit Gods.

You could design it to be a puzzle room to escape from utilizing various illusions, counter gravity, and M.C. Escher room designs.

Mayan ballgame court. The PCs must defeat the opposing team, made entirely of apparitions, at the game to pass.

Grand Lodge

You could look to the 2e Maztica adventures and campaign set as well as the 1e module "C1: The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan" for inspiration. All of which are available on PDF at The DM's Guild.

Silver Crusade

Rather than blood golems, depending on the level, a number of either animated objects or water elementals, all medium, all created from blood, that appear as Mayan warriors, all in red.

A mummy. They had mummies.
