raging familiars

Advice

is there any way to get a raging familiar with out taking levels in skaled?

I think there's some feat called Sympathetic Rage or something like that.

To build on this- sympathetic rage is a combat feat.

The eldritch guardian archetype for fighters gives you a familiar, and then allows you to give all of your combat feats to your familiar as well. This means that the familiar will get the feat, even though it cannot get new feats and might not qualify for the feat.

So... yeah. Just dip into barbarian, or play in a party that also has a barbarian (so that both your fighter and familiar benefit).

However, I am unsure how effective that feat can be- you need to adjacent to the raging character to enter the rage, and I am unsure about how long it lasts once you leave that area.

Have someone else take levels in skald. : D Maybe a cohort?

Or just play a skald anyway, they're a great class.

You could ask your GM if you can take a badger familiar, they don’t get the standard barbarian rage but bloodrage. With a Cr of 1/2 they should still be in the acceptable power range for familiars.
