I just finished playing Plunder and Peril: Rum Punch, we Started at 11am ended about 7pm. Campaign mode with all Ratfolk PCs.

I'm not going to get that specific -- I just want something good and something at all . . . and of course to get the opportunity for that in the first place.

My 13 year old son ran #49 Among the Dead on New Year's Day....and got his first GM star.

Silver Crusade

Turns out it's going to First steps : In Service to lore, on januari third if all goes well, with my newest character to boot.

What a way to start a new year!

I believe my first game is going to be The Blakros Matrimony Thursday.

It is, coincidentally, also the first scenario I ever GMd for you, a few years back.

Silver Crusade 3/5

I will be running Signs in Senghor on January 6th, if all goes well.

We did Path of Perfection hard mode...

Gwyn got to do his job in 2 of the 3 encounters. Namely he acted as a human shield against foes, preventing anyone else from taking anything even resembling significant damage.

That big bad at the end though... Yeowch. I'm told the hard mode version I faced was a lot nastier than the 1-4 version. I believe it.

“Off-topic Quest for Perfection 1 spoiler”:
There is no “hard mode” for the Quest for Perfection series. At least not an official/legal one. Most likely you just faced the normal tier 4-5 final boss and the GM was using all the abilities available. He’s a pretty tough boss. There only two tiers in the scenario (1-2 and 4-5), and no 4-Player adjustment, since it’s an older scenario. There is a big difference between the end boss for the high tier and the low tier. There can also be a variation in how hard the fight is if the GM doesn’t employ all of the creature’s feats. Things like Power Attack aren’t calculated in the attack numbers in the statblocks most of the time, but make it a lot more dangerous when used.

Anyway, that creature hits hard. Glad you lived. That series is one of my favorites. Especially part 3.

This all depends on how you count things for me.

My PbP True Sewer Dragons of Absalom (with all kobold characters) hasn't actually hit the scenario's content. I am not sure if it ever will.

5/5 *****

Running hard mode high tier Waking Rune in just over two hours.

The Exchange 5/5

"9-04 Unseen Inclusion" tonight (01-02-18)...

Three PCs signed up, but I expect a full table (that's the way things go here in St. Louis)... unless we switch out to play something else. More than likely low tier...

Playing at a great venue, with a good judge, and at least two other nice players... should be a great game!

and I'll be playing Signs in Senghor on the 4th... not sure what Sub-Tier yet though.

Current sign-ups have us a good solid APL=3... so we'll see the night of the game.

Grand Lodge 3/5

I'm GM'ing Beyond the Halflight Path twice this week, and playing in the Daughters of Fury Module this Monday.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/5 RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 8

Continuing our Dead Suns AP yesterday, 1/1/18.

My players traversed the wilds of Castrovel as they made their way through book two.

5/5 *****

Krune has claimed more scalps. He nearly died in the second round but managed to teleport away. This was followed by wave after wave of elder earth elementals and shadow demons while he stayed safe, walled off by a wall of stone. A lack of arcane caster support left three dead and three fled but a good time was had by all.

No-one tell BNW but an animal companion was relocated to the negative material plane.

4/5

Looks like mine is going to be Shores of Heaven next Monday, with my Silver Crusade traditional dwarven fighter. First GM session will be By Way of Bloodcove the following week.

and a wonderful game it was! Lots of RP, great scenario, good judge, fun players, really fine venue... A "good time" was had by all! This is a great start to the year - things are looking good for PFS this year! (IMHO).

rant - feel free to ignore it...:

It looked like we were going to start with a full table, but we went from a full table with three new level 1s, a 2, a 3 and a level 5 (with the 5 trying to push us to play up, because we were reducing his money - and if one of the 1s would just switch to playing a 3rd level PC we could play sub-tier 4-5...). Thankfully another couple players arrived, so we had to split into two tables... One of 3 players and one of 4. One of the players stepped forward to run another scenario - but this is the way it works in my home town. You never know what's going to be played before the game starts...

Four hours and three more breath of life castings later, the team has saved their sages, with a total adventure time of 8.5 to 9 hours across the New Years.

"Cay'en wept i' w's a thin'. I'ma pushed t' singin' an I ain' the type!"

Shadowy Influences Abound, Read at Plot Risk! :P:

Torch!
The Sage they call Torch!
He robbed from the rich and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the Ten and he gave them what for.
Our love for him now, ain't hard to explain,
The hero of Shadow, the man they call Torch!

Now Torch saw the Agents' banks breakin'.
He saw the Agents' a'droppin'.
And he saw that Decemvirate takin'
Every sail and leavin' five copper.
So he said, "You can't do that to my people!"
"You can't crush them under your heel."

Torch stepped outta his bath,
And in five seconds flat,
Stole everything the Vaults had to steal.

He robbed from the rich and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the Ten an' he gave them what for.
Our love for him now ain't hard to explain,
The Hero of Shadow, the Sage they call Torch.

Now here is what separates heroes
From common folk like you and I.
The man they call Torch,
He turned 'round his perch,
An' let that money hit sky.
He dropped it onto our havers.
He dropped it into our wards.
The man they call Torch
He turned round his perch,
And headed out for the sands.

Here we go!

He robbed from the rich and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the Ten and he gave them what for.
Our love for him now ain't hard to explain,
The Hero of Shadow, the Sage they call Torch!
