I may not like Aram Zey, but Aram Zey likes me...

So I am looking at applying a PFS GM Star Reward Sheet on Zahra, and the five star reward for Aram Zey, “the Spells Know All Secrets” is especially appealing to me. Open up a racial spell for all my PFS characters? Yes, please! Besides, Zahra has saved Aram Zey in a scenario so this boon resonates and makes character sense.

The only issue that I have is that my fantasies of opening up Windy Escape or Mudball are shot to heck. The boon only opens up racial spells from Chapter 1 of the Advanced Race Guide, which means that it is only open to core race racial spells.

So my darling fellow forumites, what do I pick? Right now, the gnomish spell “Recharge Innate Magic” is in the lead because it is a level one spell that just about every caster can trigger. I love bards, oracles and alchemists and all of them can cast it. It can be taken as a wand, and I could use it to get another use our some very interesting racial innate magics. It being suitable for a wand might be fitting too because Zahra knows that all wands love her. “I am from Kat-a-pesh! I am very friendly!”

But... I am open to your suggestions! If you coutld pick ONE racial spell from Chapter One of the Advanced Race Guide, for all your characters to possibly know... What would it be?

Hmm

Currently I'm debating between ward of the season (because i have a few buff characters, and thats a uniquely changable one) and blend. elves have all the good stuff..

Ward of the Season is nifty, no question! I really like that one. If only bards could cast it. Heck, if only Zahra could cast it without UMD. Not that she ever fails UMD checks. Being from Katapesh comes in handy.

:)

Blend is one I wish I could take more often. It's pretty much Hide in Plain Sight as a spell, really good on alchemists or as an unchained rogue with major magic but even full casters tend to have a decent Dex for stealth. It's not on the bard list but it's still useful as a wand.

Oh, don’t congratulate me yet. Although I have my Specials, I am still amassing tables. My current count is 135. My plan is to do the five star confirmation at Paizo Con, where I can get all my beloved Minnesota VCs and my RVC Jesse Davis at the same table. I am just shopping ahead!

My self confidence has grown since starting this whole GMing thing. I have gone from, “I’ll never get 150 tables” to “Okay, I’ll get 150 tables, but specials are scary” to “Specials can be fun as a GM, but I’ll never be good enough for them to give me 5 stars” to “Yeah, this is TOTALLY going to happen and I am PSYCHED!”

It’s an interesting progression!

Blend is probably the best option.
Ward of the season works well.
Bestow insight is quite nice.

When the boon first came out, I pushed myself to 5 stars so I could do Windy Escape. Then I got there and read the fine print that it's only chapter 1.

Ended up going with Blend. My sneak attacker hardly needs more stealth at this point, but adding more is always nice.

That is a nice spell, but my character who is working towards this boon is already a half elf, and used the 4 star boon to pick up a partially charged wand of it :) Seeing the reaction when I paragon surge into exotic weapon proficiency : chainsaw and then pull out the +1 chainsaw of a chronicle sheat is amusing.

Belly rubbing the ooze was easy.

Making arem zey friendly took running 150 games and rescuing him.....

Should have just given him a belly rub too.

Man, now I want to belly rub Aram Zey. Though, having been TPKed in a fight with him once, that might not be the best idea!
