Just-For-Fun Concept: Wrong Stat For Everything Man

Advice

I want a character that uses the wrong stat for everything. He uses DEX for melee attacks (Weapon Finesse), INT in place of DEX for AC (Student of War 2), Strength for ranged (Belt of Mighty Hurling)... he just uses the wrong stat for everything, INT for DEX for feats (artful dodge), CON for INT for feats (Kinetic Knight 1)...

This isn't a build for making a character do anything *well,* necessarily. I just want a character that does everything the 'wrong' way. Can we build a character that does virtually nothing with the stat he's supposed to use?

Experiment. Discuss. I want to see what sort of ugly monsters we can create.

Shadow Lodge

You can also use CHA for AC, Reflex saves, and Knowledge checks, by being an Oracle of Lore.

This character may have to do some multiclassing, but that would only add to the confusion, which sounds like it'd help.

The balanced education, disciplined body and/or wisdom in the flesh traits can mess with the stat used for skills in odd ways. There's also a bunch of traits which use Int instead of Cha for social skills.

Swashbucklers and brawlers can use Cha instead of Int for feats.

A lore oracle can use Cha instead of Int for knowledge skills, or a lore shaman can use Wis instead of Int for the same.

There are of course dex-to-damage feats (* Grace), Desna's shooting star to use Cha to attack and damage with a starknife, ki-rin strike or elven battle focus for int-to-damage, guided star for wis-to-damage with a starknife.

At 2nd level, the Psychic Marauder Psychic uses Charisma for will saves instead of Wisdom.

I'm not aware of a way to do this with the other two kinds of saves.

Twist Away allows you to do a Reflex saving throw in place of a Fortitude save, as an immediate action (and leaves you staggered the round after, with "you can't prevent this staggered effect, nor can you stop it early" language).

You need to have Evasion to take it, and it applies to this save (no effect instead of an reduced effect).

It's not "using the wrong stat" exactly, but "using the wrong saving throw entirely" should be similar enough.

Its a shame that things so out of date now, but it still probably has 90% of the options

Yeah, it would be great to see an updated version.
