During my last Pathfinder session, the GM included a Dire Collar in the monster loot. It allows me to turn my boar companion Mick into a Dire Boar for 3 rounds a day. But I'm not sure how to apply the template as he's a companion and not a regular boar.
This is the sheet for Mick in my current game. He's level 5 and all of the teamwork feats on his sheet come from my hunter. Sheet
This is the Dire template I found: Template

I'm pretty sure your GM must have homebrewed that item---the normal Dire Collar just enlarges the beastie---so you'll probably have to make them figure it out. It does look problematic.

increase your boars natural armor by 5, increase their str by 8,dex by 2, con by 8, wis by 4 and cha by 4, base speed by 10 and give it 3 animal hit die +3d8 hit die(13 average or 24 max) 2 extra bab, 1 maybe 2 extra feats would recommend making a 2nd character sheet for the boar for just when they are in dire forum would make it so much easier for you

There's even a Greater Dire Collar. Still doesn't grant a template, though.
Your GM probably reinvented the name in all innocence. It is a good name for what it does. :-)

Create a different character sheet with the template applied. (+5 NA, Increase it's size by one with no ability score changes (just the other benefits and penalties), +3 HD (and the changes and abilities that come with that), +10 ft. base speed, Increase the damage dice of it's natural attacks by one step (This is because of the size increase; it does not stack), 2+int (Min 1) skills per HD (This is because of the HD increae; It does not stack)
Just look at the normal power increases for large creatures (Minus the ability scores) and increased HD

No, boars are Long rather than Tall so he'll need to be Huge to get reach. Creature Size and Scale table.

Ok, the chart I found says that Large creatures with Gore have 1d8 damage. But boar companions already have that once they advance to level 4 and Mick is level 5. Should I use 2d6 instead? That's the next size up.
If I included the Improved Natural Attack feat, that bumps it up to 3d6.
If you're consulting this table, that's for the GM creating a new monster (which may not follow those values exactly anyway). Mick already exists and has a definite gore attack, so you need to use this FAQ's table to bump it up. (You probably knew that already.)
Which is a long-winded way of saying that yes, it goes to 2d6 and then 3d6 if you have INA. :-)
