The elixir states that it costs 25,000 gp. If I make this one morning, and I don't die, can I continue using it the next day? Would I have to prepare in morning again?

Do I only have to pay the 25,000 gp cost once, and it doesnt get used up unless I die?

If you don't drink it you don't gain the effects of it. If you do drink it, the death protection will:

So you pay the cost once, and you can continue using it in further days until you die or the duration expires.

So my int mod is 7, so it lasts for 7 days.

What if I take an alchemist cognatogen which increases my int mod by 2. I'm guessing that doesnt change the # of days the elixir of life lasts?

Otherwise I got a week to use it otherwise I lose 25,000 gp. ouch!

Probably only the 7 days. Yep, pretty costly. Though it actually costs less than getting an NPC cleric to cast True Resurrection on your person (spellcasting costs + 25,000 gp material cost)
