How would you make an Oracle+Sorcerer hybrid class?

I am curious how would you make an Oracle Sorcerer hybrid class?

Thanks

The other 'hybrid' classes take inspiration from their sources but definitely aren't half-and-half mixes. This means you've got a lot of room to play with the sources. In most cases (every one but the slayer) they have something unique to them too.

How might I do it? I'd probably be reacting to a friend who wanted something in particular. Is there anything you especially want in the result Elyas?

If you mean combining the mysteries and bloodlines, then I'd assign level requirements to the bloodline powers, and place them in a pool with revelations from the most similar mystery, then let the player pick. I'd also exchange progress from the curse for the bloodline power.

The tricky part is spells. If you give unrestricted access to all nine levels of both the divine and arcane you'll end up with a magical superbeast. If a player wanted good access (probably the damage aoe/cc of arcane and the healing/status recovery of divine) to both the divine and arcane, I'd have them use the spell progression of the bard, so they'd be gaining extraordinary versatility at the cost of never being as powerful as a caster focused entirely on either.

Purple Duck Games has a class for that, Blood Mystic.

If I were to go into Mystic Theurge, I would need 4 levels of Oracle, and 4 levels of Sorcerer. So I would be able to enter the Mystic Theurge class at 9th level, and I think gain access at 10 level (4 lvl oracle/ 4th lvl Sorcerer / 2 mystic theurge) to third level spells. I don't think that would be a viable combination.

I guess I am just curious about a hybrid class.

Sythia thank you for your ideas about selecting blood lines and mysteries. I'm not sure what to do about the spell access either.

Chris Ballard I will check out the Blood Mystic...

thank you

Another option is to just go oracle and use options to get some arcane spells:

1) Ancient lorekeeper - Must be elf or half elf. You swap your bonus spells out for a wizard spell 1 level lower (for instance you could get magic missile as a 2nd level slot).

2) Spirit guide - lets you add the bonded spirit magic to your oracle spells known. Since you can choose a different spirit every day, you get some flexibility in extra spells based on the spirit you pick that day.
