Advanced Class Guide vs Advanced Class Origin

Sovereign Court

What is the difference between the 2 books? Which one should I get?

Scarab Sages

Advance Class guide is a mainline hardcover book that presents 6-8 new hybrid classes. Advanced class origins is a paperback splat book that provides options that primarily support the Advanced Class guide. i’d recommend the ACG be gotten first.

Advanced Class Guide introduces the hybrid classes and some of the options for them. Advanced Class Origins adds more options for them. Rather than me going through a whole list, check it out here. The base hybrid classes and some of the archetypes are from the Advanced Class Guide, whereas some of the archetypes are from Advanced Class Origins (each page usually says which one it comes from under the text).

Origin books usually talk about fitting those classes into Golarion. They offer archetypes and features for classes just introduced.

So.. class book then origins.

You'll find origin books to be slim softcover too.

Occult, class guide and others followed this trend
