Advice on sorcerer

Advice

I am starting a new game soon and wanted to try my hand at playing a sorcerer. I usually play a fighter or rogue.
I am going human for the feat and bonus spells from favorite class. I was thinking about going dragon disciple later on, but I have time to figure that out.
I want a lot of damage spells, but also some control and utility. Mostly damage :)

We are starting at 1st level, definitely need the draconic bloodline if I decide to go prestige, but I want to be able to change the element damage type as needed to get around any resitences or immunities. I'm not married to a particular color of dragon.

All the "how to build" guides i've seen haven't been exactly what i'm looking for, so I created this post.

Any help would be appreciated.

Arcanist class does the blasting part better, but Sorcerer is passable. You're still left with the biggest issue to deal with, which is lack of bypassing resistances/immunities.

Battering Blast is a solid choice, though because of Force Damage, Dragon Disciple is out.

Bloodline Mutations are a thing, look into those.

Here is a basic shell I use.

Sorcerer->Dragon Disciple:

Human 20 point buy
Str: 10, Dex: 14, Con: 12, Int: 10, Wis: 10, Cha: 19

Draconic Sorcerer 7/ Dragon Disciple 8

Feats:
Human: Favored PrC- Dragon Disciple
1: Spell Focus- Evocation
3: Craft Wondrous Item
5: Intensify Spell
7: Prestigious Spell Caster- D.D
7: (Bloodline Feat)- Bloodline Mutation- Havoc
9: Spell Pen
9: (Bloodline) Improved Initiative
11: Prestigious Spell Caster- D.D
12: (Bloodline) Toughness, Power Attack, or Great Fortitude ((You Pick))
13: Dazing Spell or Empower Spell ((You Pick control vs Damage))
15: (Bloodline) Quicken Spell
15: Spell Perfection or ((Your Choice))

This is just a basic spell perfection build with decent blasting (not completely optimized making your GM hate and want to kill you) and later it also adds some options for Mixing it up in melee transformed into a dragon.

Silver Crusade

I've found this guide on the dragon disciple to be a good way to focus my thoughts on being one.

Note that you can go from Bloodrager to Dragon Disciple, and your bloodline powers (Draconic) do advance from the prestige class.

As for sorcerer, it's pretty hard to cover all four elements. Elemental Bloodline (no DD for this) allows you to switch to your element. For a Wizard, the Admixture subschool of the Evocation school will cover your needs.
