They needed more money to make it fly.

They couldn't get it.

It carries on with a small player base and a dev team of, I think, two people.

This is what Lisa (Paizo CEO) said about it at PaizoCon 2017.

is the whole podcast on PFO or can i jump to a specific point?

Whole thing, it’s a recording of a seminar.

The key stuff is laid out at the start, later she takes questions.

sounds more like risk than a mmorpg based on pathfinder

Making an MMO is the game development equivalent of starting a land war in Asia. It rarely ends well for the developer involved. It's potentially a cash cow if you pull it off, but if you're only looking at the WoW's of the industry you'll miss the graveyard of other studios that just had their product fizzle.

That is both not an MMO and not related to PFO in any way.

The game is currently in a slow Alpha development period, a small player base is mostly active over at the Goblinworks forums and on various third party voice coms.

No one posts here in the Paizo forums; that will change in the future when they shut down the Goblinworks forums and migrate over here, somewhere around spring-summer of 2018 I would guess.

For more information you can check the links in the posts above. :)

Interesting. I just saw a Facebook post that an update went live on Nov 10.

So...if we were in the Kickstarter and had early access, do we still have accounts and such? I only logged in once or twice back then, and then it was taken down.

Guess I'll go download the client and find out!

Your account and all goodies from the KickStarter should be there waiting for you. If you have issues, please make a post on the Pathfinder Online forums (https://pathfinderonline.com/forum/) or send an email to customer.support@goblinworks.com.
