Agile Living Grimoire Book?

Can you apply the agile weapon enhancement to the Living Grimoire inquisitor’s book? Since the book is treated line a cold iron light mace in terms of damage, it would be reasonable to believe that it would be eligible for Weapon Finesse.

Living Grimore? Wow, amazing they'd omit adding how many hands it takes to wield the "large ironbound tome" as a weapon. Yeah, as written, I think you have to assume it counts as a light mace sized for you for the purposes of how many hands it requires or for abilities that depend on it being a certain number of hands to wield (like weapon finesse). It really should say....I hope they FAQ this one.

Otherwise, I can seem some conjucture on it being sized for Large Creatures, since it is a "large" ironbound tome, and therefore should have oversized penalties - I'm not advocating this, but I see others reading it that way with a very literal reading.

I actually thought this was already included in the existing Grimoire FAQ, but I was misremembering.

Well, it could be a different kind of “large”; the book could be wide but thin, or short but thick like a rock you can fit in your hand. Like, what is “large” in terms of a book? Can you swing it around a la Mozgus where you can swing it around in one hand?

On top of that, agile seems like the safest enhancement you can add to a book; you can flip through the pages near-instantaneously and cite facts when you need them. The elemental ones would make the book harder to read. “Hmm, what does this say? I can’t read it because the page is frosted over/dissolving/littered with static/ON FIRE.” And bane would probably turn your holy book into a racist diatribe: “Suffer not the tiefling, even if he is of Sarenrae.”

When wielding the holy book as a weapon, he deals base damage as if it were a cold iron light mace

Simple)
Light Melee Weapon

Weapon finesse: Benefit: With a light weapon, elven curve blade, rapier, whip, or spiked chain made for a creature of your size category, you may use your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier on attack rolls.

Agile: Requirement: This special ability can be placed only on melee weapons usable with Weapon Finesse.

Agile is good to go!
