Overcoming what DR with Magic Attacks (Eidolon)

Rules Questions

What kind of Dr can be ignored, when my eidolon has the magic weapon evolution? I just dont understand the rules for that, there are many different types of dr and magic seems to overcome some of them but not all?

Sczarni

It overcomes DR/Magic

Not even things like Dr/piercing?

Only if the weapon itself is piercing. Magic weapons only automatically overcome DR/magic. More powerful magic weapons (+3 or higher)overcome additional types of damage reduction, but the evolution doesn't give an enhancement bonus. It just counts as magic for the purposes of damage reduction, so only overcomes DR/Magic.

The eidolons natural weapons can overcome DR/piercing (or similiar), however. Bites do bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage (all at the same time). Claws do bludgeoning and slashing. Tail slaps, tentacles, wing buffets, and pincers do bludgeoning damage. Stingers and gore attacks do piercing.

Weapons that count as Magic also deal half damage to incorporeal creatures.

Thank you for the explanation, especially for the brief summary for the different natural attacks. I think my biggest problem was to get the difference between magic weapons and magic Attacks (which overcome all DR, right?)

At L10, the magic attacks evolution is also considered aligned for both unchained and APG summoners.
