What news does Kintargo get of the Glorious Reclamation offensive as the AP goes on? Did anyone write anything up for their players?

As written, I don't think any?

In my campaign, Barzillai was forced to divert serval units of forces to the war effort, specifically after news of Kantaria falling to the GR at the beginning of book 2. My PC's sent a supporter to try and make contact with the GR, but Kantaria fell at the end of book 2. Some refugees escaped through the Menador Mountains to Kintargo, including a small group of GR knights.

I plan to update them with the progress of the GR throughout the campaign, though in my game the GR isn't necessarily destined for failure, depending on the PC's actions.

There are sidebars in each new volume that relate the state of the Glorious Reclamation's campaign to the GM. You can put these in the mouth of one of the more well-informed NPCs (Cassius Sargaeta might be a good vehicle for this, being a member of the Chelish military and not clearly a traitor, or Mialari Docur with her information network, or Manticce Kaleeki with her information network). Or you could have the PCs find papers detailing the campaign's progress among Lucian Thrune's belongings when they go to sack Menador Keep. Or keeping with the Menador Keep idea, you could have the PCs discover some erstwhile revolutionaries from Kantaria being held prisoner there.

Right you are!

I think I was looking for more complete information from Book 2, simply because Kantaria is right over the mountains, albeit access is blocked by the Menador keep. I figured that sailors and traveling merchants might have more complete information on the battle and what the new governor did.

I ran Wrath of Thrune with another group, and I really think it would be a great one-shot for anybody running Hell's Rebels because it's so close to Kintargo. There have already been some character interactions between players' different characters which has been a lot of fun.

The investigator researching the death of one of the evil PC's is now on the case in Kintargo as well (both characters were sibling Sarinis; one evil, one chaotic good)

A few of the evil troops from Wrath of Thrune were hanging out at the Oakrib Inn during the initial approach to the Menador Gap. Only two of my Hell's Rebels players were involved in the evil campaign, so they got a little treat, but it would have been so much better if everyone had that insight into the GR in Kantaria. It would also give the players a really good reason to close the Menador Gap after realizing that Kantaria has been returned to the hands of Thrune.
