So the computer section is cool, if a bit obtuse, and I think will work out pretty well. What doesn't help keep it clear is the lack of sample computers! I know, word count, blah blah blah. So let's get some made to help out.

Nice d'Eon!
I have a cheap one I put together for my low level mechanic. Might add the wipe at higher levels when I can overcome the restoration roll.
Datapad Computer DC 21
Tier 1 (50cr), Miniaturized (bulk L)(5cr), Artificial Personality (5cr), Hardened (25cr), Self Charging (5cr), Firewall (10cr), Lockout (100cr), Security IV (50cr), Control/Comm (8cr) = 258cr

I'm curious to see how often NPCs try to hack PC computers. The value of a lot of modules is dependant on that.
I'm not sure how often PC computers will go past tier 3-4. Unlike weapons and armor, tier doesn't really scale by level. I supposed you could buy a tier 10 computer and miniaturize it to practical sizes, but all you really get out of that is higher Hack DC and some better bonuses to control modules and artificial personalities. Tier doesn't affect how many modules you can have, though it does restrict the number of Countermeasures you can install. Which I just noticed means my datapad is illegal. Guess I'll drop the extra firewalls for now.
Anyways, getting high tier PC computers is really expensive, since the bulk is tier squared. Miniaturization gets more and more expensive as you progress in tier.
Corrected secure datapad, tier-2, 610 cr, L bulk
Tier-2 computer, 250 cr
Miniaturization×2, 50 cr
Security IV, 250 cr
Wipe, 10 cr
Firewall, 50 cr

I'll need some actual play experience to get a feeling for practical computer usage, but tier 5 is an effective break point for social characters - at that point, a computer with an AI is guaranteed to pass a Take 10 check, which effectively grants a permanent +2 to Diplomacy, Bluff, Intimidate, and Sense Motive to the character using it so long as they have access. With miniaturization to bulk L and the AI, it costs 16000 credits - once you get into the middle and upper levels, this is a fairly affordable purchase for a bonus to four different skills. This is perhaps most useful if you also opt for a datajack, since you can then just plug the computer directly into your brain for ease of access. You could also upgrade your comm unit to that level and stick that in your brain of just the computer.
Though with an unreasonably permissive GM, those 16000 credits could instead be spent on 246 weightless tier 1 AI computers for 65 credits apiece. With a +2 bonus to those checks, they have a 65% chance of successfully aiding another, for an average total bonus of 319.8. With such a GM, the most effective social character is not an Envoy or an Operative, but a ball of tiny computers networked together and attached to a speaker.
Just make sure your antivirus programs are up to date.
That said, this is a good topic to have around.

Thanks for sharing.
IMHO, sometimes it is valid or an objective to denie someone of something.
In this case I would on purpose fail rolls to access partitions so as to cause the data to erase itself.
It has auto back up? Well that may not be available in every location so you cannot always depend on that.
