Where do I start?

Homebrew and House Rules

I'm not sure if this is the right place to be posting about this but recently, mostly at the urging of my players, I've been giving serious thought to actually writing up my dozen or so homebrew campaigns into a series of published campaigns. The problem is, I have not clue one about how to go about this. Does anyone have experience doing this? If so, I'd appreciate some feedback or advice.

I have an artist friend who says she'd be willing to do illustrations and I myself am fairly good at fantasy cartography so other than that, what do I need to get started?

Thank you in advance.

(I think the correct place for the post would be 3rd party publishers because it's what you really intend to do)

First, read OGL and Pathfinder Compatibility rules to see what you need trim/remove/rename, to be able to comply with the licenses. Campaigns that are highly reliant on non-Open Content might need degree of change to be released for the public that it would make them pointless.

Second... Do you want to gain revenue from it or simply share your creative work with others? Aiming for profit makes it much more complicated, basically it's starting a micro-business unless you find an established publisher interested in your work.

I...actually hadn't thought that far ahead. I would sell them for a little, I suppose, but certainly not the price of say modules or something. What sort of publishers would I ask about that?

Also, where are those rules located? Somewhere in the Core Rulebook?

Open Gaming License. It's also in the core rulebook but in smaller print somewhere in the back I think. This is the more important license that you should comply with to avoid legal problems.

Pathfinder Compatibility License, which is only important if you want to write on the published campaign "Compatible With Pathfinder".[/url].

All right, thank you for letting me know. I'll take a look at it here in a bit.
