Hey-o.
I'm playing a homebrew campaign with some buddies. It's a six person party with good balance so I don't have to play super optimized. I was thinking of being silly and going like angel racial feats for full flavor like the post said I sweet talked the DM into letting me play angel-blooded aasimar.
So think, angel paladin flaming sword, Tyrael from Diablo vibe.
So i'm thinking, angel blood feat, angel wings, celestial armor and shield, angel skin.
Basically I'm looking for more things to add to the angel pally aasimar vibe, feats, equipment, silly things that would be fun to play.

Worship a deity that offers the fire or sun domain, take Word of Healing (prerequisite) and Sunblade (elemental masters handbook). Will let you turn a lay on hands into a kinetic energy (fire) blast (kinteticist level = your level -4). You channel it through a manufactured weapon, your 'flaming sword'.

Variant multiclass Barbarian.
Oomph, no! The loss of feats (character feats) would serious impact his choice of goofy feats.
If he wants rage, it's better to go Fighter (Viking) with VMC Paladin. Fighter bonus feats, all the rage/rage powers, and Paladin flavor. Three level dip into prestige class Chevialer to pick up some of the Paladin-esque abilities he missed out on.

Depends on how many feats (goofy or otherwise) he wants to take. Viking Fighter loses the Weapon & Armor Training patches, loses heavy armor and steers you hard towards using a shield (either missing out on damage or using up the bonus feats you gain), and delays or outright loses many useful Paladin features.

which tyrial doesnt have he is the arch angel of justice, the lead angel from diablo 3 would be the one with the rage power cant remember his name atm

Imperious.
It all depends on how the Rage manifests. He doesn't have to be a frothing at the mouth Berserker or shouty zealot.

From what I remember of Tyreal (though I guess it's more from D2, since I thought D3 cinematics were unbearably cheesy anime wannabe crap, and I ended up ignoring them), he fought with just a sword in one hand.
One cool way to run that would be wielding an estoc in one hand with Amateur Swashbuckler: Dodging Panache and a Swordmaster's Flair: Blue Scarf, and maybe Pommel Strike. Reach with a big one-handed sword is pretty good stuff, and Pommel Strike is pretty badass when you can't full attack anyhow (it has pros and cons vs. trip). When you can fly and have both reach and an immediate action move ability...

If you want to add Rage to your Paladin I'm pretty sure the best option is to take a 1 level of Bloodrager (I'd say take it at level 5) and take Extra Rage once. With the Fatigue mercy you can dole out those rage rounds when you need them and ignore the fatigue penalty.
Some good options for bloodlines:
- Celestial, for obvious thematic reasons.
- Id-Rager, Anger or Dedication are powerful options. I think Dedication fits better.
- My favourite option for what you've said is Elemental Bloodline - Fire. 3 times per day as a swift action you can add 1d6 fire damage to your melee attacks. Not the most powerful option, but flaming sword + rage!

I see how we got here but...
RAGE AS A PALADIN IS NOT THE POINT
sorry for yelling..
basically I'm an aasimar pally that doesn't have to be super optimized so im exploring options that are either A)flavorful b)fun c)silly.
Badbird's post is a good example. something I'd never thought of.

It's not especially Diablo-esque, and it does make your flaming sword thing a bit harder, but the Angelic Variant DIVINE BOND gives you a halo (and is actually pretty good).
RADIANT CHARGE is pretty thematic for that whole "SMITE YOU" power kinda vibe ... I wouldn't say it's a great ability though =P
I've always been a fan of ULTIMATE MERCY (and I think GREATER MERCY is actually good, so it's only 1 wasted feat if you don't end up using it).
If you wanted to go for the whole "Angel of Justice" vibe you could take either the ENFORCER or OATH AGAINST CHAOS archetype, or go for the INHERITOR'S CRUSADER prestige class.
