If I am using the Strike Back feat against a creature's lengthy tentacles (or other appendages), what happens if crit and roll a body part that is not within my weapon's reach on the Wounds table (such as the brain)? Do I ignore it, wasting my ability? Do I roll until I get something within the realm of possibility? Can I even crit while using Strike Back?

Not sure about an actual rules answer, but a common sense answer is you cut off the part that attacked you.

Since when does "realm of possibility" enter into a RPG?

You impale the tentacle with your weapon. The monster quickly pulls free, but not before you yank on the tentacle, forcing your foe to bend over and skewer its eye upon your weapon ...

Not at my comp, but under the wounding section it has a notification about what to do if the part doesn't exist.

"If the creature lacks a specified location, use the general location."
Seems reasonable. Bleed 1d6

Strike Back (Combat)
You can strike at foes that attack you using their superior reach
by targeting their limbs or weapons as they come at you.
Prerequisites: Base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: You can ready an action to make a melee attack
against a foe that attacks you with a melee weapon, even if
that foe isn’t within your reach.

Same as you would if the enemy was attacking with a reach weapon.
