I very briefly glanced through the space combat section, and while I understand each individual role and the action they can take, and when they can take them, there's at least one thing that wasn't immediately obvious to me. I haven't been able to spend any more time looking through the rules as I've been very busy, but this has been rolling through my head so I was hoping someone could just chime in and address it.
Long premise for just this but..what's "Push" for an action? Some actions are labeled that but I didn't see what it actually means.

It's a keyword signifying that a system is being pushed beyond its normal limits. There are other actions and rules elements that have different effects regarding actions with the Push keyword. For instance, when the Captain succeeds at the Demoralize (I thinks that is the name) action, the enemy crew takes a -2 penalty to all actions, which increases to -4 if they attempt an action with the Push keyword. If a ship system has taken enough critical damage that it is Malfunctioning, you can't attempt actions with the Push keyword until it is patched or repaired.

Push actions (indicated in an action’s heading) are difficult to perform but can yield greater results. You can’t perform a push action if the necessary system is malfunctioning or wrecked.
As defined, a Push action is hard to do and can't be done if a system is malfunctioning or wrecked.
Want to flip and burn or (any other stunt)? Better have the Engineer hold the engines together or get a team to patch them to reduce damage to glitching.
Want to taunt your oppoonet? Need to have life support not malfunction.
There are higher level Push actions that do require resolve points. But the basic level Push actions do not.
