How exactly does a PC gain the ability to make a slam attack?
A Slam attack is a type of natural attack, normally used by monsters.
Several PC races have access to natural attacks (usually races found in more advanced rulebooks), but don't know if any playable race gets Slam, the most common ones usually get natural atacks like bites, claws or tail slaps. Slam is way more infrequent.
Apart from races, I don't recall feats of classes that may grant slams, although some obscure class/archetype might have access to slam.
If you're a caster or have access to one, and Ultimate Magic rulebook is available in your games, you can use the Undead Anatomy spell to gain temporary access to slam attacks

Begging the question, why do you want a slam attack (as opposed to a weapon attack, which is probably going to be a lot more destructive).
The following feats are thematically close to what you're looking for:
Shield Slam
Spiked Destroyer
Street Sweep
I know why I would: each new kind of Natural Attack adds to the number of attacks in your Full Attack.
So Wildshape into a Gorilla to get Slam Attacks. Take level in Alchemist to get Feral Mutagen and get Claws and a Bite. Take a level in White Haired Witch to get a Hair Attack. And acquire a Helm of the Mammoth Lord to get a Gore Attack!

A Necrograft Arm grants a Slam attack.
A Beaststrike Club may work as well.
The Maniac Hand grants a Slam attack, but is a Cursed item, so may not be available.
