Hey everyone - I was at the panel yesterday. Here are some highlights that I can remember (mostly trying to put out stuff that I think is new):
Each of the ultimate decks will have one character in them:
Ultimate Combat - Hayato
Ultimate Magic - Enora
Ultimate Equipment - Reiko
Ultimate Intrigue - The Red Raven (not that they know how they're doing him yet)
Next base set is maybe (and heavy emphasis on maybe - they wanted to push that this was just an idea and not a guarentee by any stretch) at GenCon. At the current moment the plan is to make a generic base set that other adventure paths can just add cards to. This would have the advantage of allowing them to make adventure paths of different lengths (like Emerald Spire) and also means that they're not selling you a million of the same card over and over again. They heavily emphasized that this would not be a 2.0, but there might be some polish. No changes like pushing movement to the end of the turn, but there might be stuff like making generic henchmen in order to stop printing 7ish of every henchman. Likely also there will be a book with the next adventure path for the scenarios and the story.
Speaking about the next adventure path - they mentioned that the next AP they are working on is Curse of the Crimson Throne. Apparently they've been working on it for a while, but it kept getting sidelined. They didn't say much about it, other than it would likely be good for those who really like to investigate. *wink wink nudge nudge*
Season of Faction's Favor kicked off at GenCon. In 9-00 (which had an ACG component!), the PCs found out that a bunch of enemies of the Society teamed up and attacked Absalom. From what I've seen from the first adventure, it seems like we'll be tracking one of them down. I don't want to say more for spoiler reasons, but there was a new mechanic that involves shuffling something that wasn't a blessing into the blessing deck.
If I remember anything else, I'll post it.

These things are new, and CotC as next AP is quite big news!
I'm a bit dissappointed since I was looking forward to a Jade Regent announcement, but I'm also curious to see what they will come up with for this AP in terms of mechanics. From the summary of the ADs it sounds like this will be classic fantasy, so I can see why this AP might be a better choice to introduce the AP-agnostic base set, especially given its popularity in the RPG. It also fits the scheme of alternating between classic fantasy and exotic places, so Jade Regent might be just around the corner for 2019, when it is easier to build new APs around the common base set :)

This is exciting. I am appreciating the lag time between sets right now but will enjoy the new set when it arrives. I hope. Mummy's Mask has restored my faith after Wrath shattered it. I don't mind getting all the extra henchmen cards, though - Mummy has done a great job of including one or two interesting henchmen in the mix so it's not all the same.

Curse of the Crimson Throne is also one of the APs that has a Pathfinder Legends audio book thing, so there's a tie in with that too. I'm definitely planning to listen to that as we progress through the scenarios, but I love the idea of getting a book with the scenarios & story for more detail.
