I stabbed myself in the forehead with a car door.

I ate sushi for the first time.

I crushed a bunch of teenagers at Bumper Cars.

They were pathetic.

I had funnel cake for the first time.

So many years wasted on elephant ears.

The only black eye I ever received was from a car door. I opened it and lowered my head to get inside and it swung back just as I began to move. The top of the car door struck me diagonally from my forehead to my cheek. To add insult to injury I threw my head back reflexively and cracked my head on the edge of the car roof, knocking myself out. I came to lying in a puddle in the parking lot. It was also late November so I awoke soaked and freezing.

My Starfinder books finally arrived!

Congrats, Cap!

I finally caught up on all the Marvel movies.

I've yet to catch up on Daredevil and the rest of the Marvel series on Netflix, and the Defenders movie comes out Friday. Depression is hell; I've lost interest in everything except gaming and I wonder how long it'll take before that happens. Then I'll have nothing.

I've actually come to peace with the fact that other than Legion, I don't really care for superhero t.v. shows.

Their seasons are too long usually and get more convoluted as they go.

I also think dramas should stick to 10 episode seasons, any more than that and stuff gets silly.

Cheer up man, i've been there before.

Maybe, try a new show, a comedy maybe.

Arrested Development is super hilarious, or It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is something I like to watch when I'm down.

I know I would miss you if you were gone. :-)

I learned one of my best friends from high school is a pastor, and on Twitter.

Thanks, Cap. That's very kind of you. It's people like you that keep me coming back to the forums every day!

In a world...

*cough*

Er, I mean, this summer...I ran my first Pathfinder Society Scenario! And my first ever game as a GM! On PbP! At the same time!

Hey there, Lady Ladile. Welcome back. Glad to hear that and keep up the good work.

Well, I for one am glad that you are still here.

Thanks, Sharoth!

I was really busy...

I hated this summer. Ah well, there is always the next one.

And summer's not even over yet! There's still so much mayhem that could happen!

Hey, TL. How's everything today?

5 people marked this as a favorite.

I learned if you dig a small hole directly behind the hostas planted in front of the window in the kids room, baby bunnies will lie in it in the morning.

I learned our dog is startled by his own farts.

I learned that ground burrowing bees really, really, REALLY like my compost pile...

Conversely, I also learned that ground bees do not like me turning my compost pile whilst they are in residence...

So thirdly I learned, ground bee stings hurt just as much as normal bee stings.

Put moist Baking Soda on the stings. They'll hurt less.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I have heard that.

I went with the cold beer cure, one cold beer on my stings, one in my hand and open :)

To be fair, if some giant pink monkey thing attacked my home with a huge metal fork (pitchfork) I would sting it too.

Hey Cap, did your hosta plants get huge this year? mine sure did, leaves bigger than my head, alas, no baby bunnies (my murder cats would/have/would like to eat them all)

Busy, headache, good!

Had a moderately-bad tumor related headache the other day. Doing okay today, though.

Sorry to hear! :/

Glad it's better today!

Everything got huge this year (except the hot peppers which lost out to the tomatoes and pumpkins).

It was a wet, and sunny summer!

Thank you~! I technically never went anywhere but I will say that I'm largely a lurker on the forums aside from my PbP shenanigans :)

Oh and like TL, I'm glad that everyone is here!

And in keeping with the thread topic...

I hit a deer :\

*edit* With my car, not my fist :P

I'm glad you came out of lurking, even if it's temporary! :D

This... this post... it... it needs... to be... joked... about... but I just... I just can't...

*inner immaturity warring with actually having good taste, so settling for a compromise that does neither*

"She's got huge beds of hosta..."

Is that a big hosta leaf or are you just happy to see me...

Better now Tac?

Damn those are some big melons! (in the garden).

Yes. Thank you both. XD

No prob Tac, gave me something to laugh about in a week where I am finding it hard to see humor anywhere

Here's a more cheerful one: This summer...I adopted a stray(?) cat. Still need a name for her though.

If you can wait a few hours, my thirteen year old daughter would love to name (have, alas she, her brother, and her mother are highly allergic) a stray cat.

^I'd love to hear what she comes up with! Here's a picture of her, for reference :)

So far I've gotten a few food suggestions (Oreo, Cookie, Cream, Milkshake), Chairman Meow, YinYang, Scarface, 'name her after a valkyrie 'cause she's got a scar on her nose', Catarina, and Eclipse.

The black and white cat who accompanied the hero (or hero's companion) in Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion books was called Whiskers.

If I ever got a cat of that colouration, that's what I'd call her/him :)

Yay, my name is in the running!
