Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s “Good Omens” will be adapted by Amazon.com into six one-hour episodes. Michael Sheen has been cast as Aziraphale, and David Tennant has been cast as Crowley.
Classy! I hope production takes them long enough that I can get around to reading it first!
I loved this book and I cannot WAIT to see David Tennant as Crowley. :)

David Tennant is a great castin choice - I don't know how often I have read that book. Can't wait to see this!
David tenant is keeping busy, and I am ok with that. Plus I love that book.
Vid,
I love the book too and any chance to see more David Tennant is awesome!

I'm fine with Tennant as Crowley. The question is will every tape/CD/whatever in the car turn to "Queen's Greatest Hits?"

For the 30th anniversary of the book, there's a delightful short video with Tenant and Sheen: Good Omens Lockdown
Good Omens Season 2 announced. Sets are already being built, so I'd expect it to come out next year.
Let's hope it turns out alright. Just because Gaiman and Pratchett wrote the plot together doesn't mean Gaiman can make a good story on his own. GO was a collaborative work and it remains to be seen if he can add Pratchett's touch on his own. It would not be the first time one half of a former partnership trying to do all the work loses the magic. Even if he pulls that off, a good story doesn't mean it will be a good script, and I have a few issues with other things he's done.

I trust Gaiman to do well. He's one of the most talented creative minds on the planet.
And yet he royally messed up Beowulf with his additions and alterations because 'it made for a better story'.
Apparently, though I didn't know it until recently, Gaiman and Pratchett plotted the sequel to Good Omens late night at a convention many years ago, so it's not entirely non-Pratchett.
I'm unsurprised Gaiman and Pratchett had some ideas for a sequel. I'm looking forward to it.
Bjorn,
I must have missed that Beowulf.
I liked the first series and I'm excited for the second. It's not like TP had much of a role in the production of the first given his decade or so of mental decline before shuffling off to meet his most iconic of Characters.
I think he had a role in the sense it was partly his...

Yeah, no role in the production, but a big role in the creation of the story it was based on.
The second series isn't based on an existing book, but apparently on plans Pratchett and Gaiman had made years back for a sequel.
Yep. Sort of like if George RR Martin and Robert Jordan decided to go in together on a series but never set anything down.
