Android Renewal

Rules Questions

When an android undergoes Renewal, does the new soul have access to the memories of the previous occupant?

For game reasons, I would assume things like skills and class abilities wouldn't transfer. However for roleplaying purposes, the notion of an android form of "genetic memory" intrigues me.

I've already made a character whose backstory hinges on them not having access to the memories of their previous life... So I'm hoping the answer is "no"! :P

I read that post. Regardless of personal preference, I really like your concept.

If it's the same as PF, then they get small glimpses and flashes, but nothing concrete.

My plan for my character is that they only have a few flashes of images but have a computer AI on her wrist who has been with her since at least the end of The Gap. So my character knows the last 300 years or so even if it wasn't actually her and she doesn't actually remember it.

Liberty's Edge

My Android player has decided that her body hosts a "text file" sort of diary that got handed down from host to host. She is really invested in the idea of being the latest in a string of souls that have lived in this particular body.

Maybe it's handled like PF Samsarans?

In Iseph's backstory (iconic operative), they have no concrete memories of their past life.

I feel like the best option, narratively, is "it varies".
