Invisible Illusion

Rules Questions

Can you make an illusion invisible, to like, fool someone with see invisible?

Grand Lodge

A figment fools the minds of others, creating a false sensation. I don't think you can create a sensation that others can't .. sense. If the figment affects multiple senses, you can choose not to create a visual effect, but then there's nothing to see, despite see invisible.

Its effect is not a creature or object, so technically it's not a valid target for invisibility.

A figment detectable only by someone using See Invisibility sounds like a perfect candidate for spell research. I don't believe that 'see invisibility' is a sense mentioned by any of the existing spells in the silent image line, for example.

Grand Lodge

Oh sure, something along the lines of phantom trap and magic aura.

Sovereign Court

As a custom spell, sure. The whole theme of "fooling special senses" has been developed a lot in Heroes of the Darklands by the way.

With a regular Silent Image, nope. Invisible things aren't visual illusions, by definition.

Yesterday upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there, he wasn't there again today - I wish, I wish he'd go away ...
