Can the magic fang spell benefit Spit attacks, such as those possessed by the Camel and Giant Slug Animal Companions (in the former case, I know it wouldn't provide additional rounds of sickening, but it might still apply to the attack roll)? They ARE natural weapons....

I just noticed that the Slug's Spit ability is indeed listed as a "Special Attack" - but what's funny is that the Camel's isn't.

Whereas their Bestiary entries list the camel's spit as a Special Attack (in non-standard format) and giant slug's spit as a Ranged Attack, both also listed as Special Abilities. Marked for FAQ

Thing about that is that, mechanics-wise, the Bestiary Camel and the Camel Companion are treated as completely different creatures, so what's true for one in that regard actually says nothing whatsoever about the other.

Issue there is that they overlooked the Camel in Bestiary 1, so there no entry for it. Only got addressed in Bestiary 2. Would be nice if they consolidated the entry from the CRB with the one from Bestiary 2 so they matched up better.

I would have liked to see it in the first Bestiary too, but was using Bestiary to refer to whichever of the series they were in. I see the Giant Slug is in B1, but as vermin, its companion progression is more recent.

But not that recent. Vermin Companions are Ultimate Magic. So, was the book that came after B2, but before ultimate combat.
