I think Eoxian ships are organic, albeit made from undead flesh.
I don't see how organic ships would be different from normal ships outside of flavour.
I think the description stated that they where styled to look organic.
But I agree, it shouldn't make any difference if the ship was built or grown. It would still be functionally the same.

I saw that story on Doctor Who!
Come to think of it, I wonder if there will be a Starfinder story that Doctor Who hasn't already done?

I believe Brethedans are highly skilled bioengineers who adapt their own bodies to create tools or survive in the vacuum of space. They commonly fuse together to create greater, hive mind organisms capable of effectively operating as a self-sustaining corporation or blimplike starships, and through such ingenuity have colonized many of much of Bretheda and its neighboring planet Liavara.
I figure the Xenowardens will probably have something of their own. Drift-free drives, to protect the cosmological environment!

Tricky. Especially considering that was actually a thirty-odd year old X-men story. Though if Jonah had been a bit more enterprising, it could have been a 2000 year old story.
'Already done' is a bad road to travel, it tends to reveal that we're a super unimaginative species, constantly stuck in a 'let me tell you about my character' loop.

Eh, I had about enough of biotech starships when the Yuuzhan Vong were all the rage in Star Wars. If they exist they exist, but I would be perfectly happy if they don't.
Eh, the Yuuzhan Vong were terrible, but the Vorlon, Shadows, Species 8472, and Moya are all very cool. I'm fine with bio-ships.

I've been thinking about an encounter with one. It'd be approaching planetary defenses and would send scourge (little suicide flyers) and broodlords (manta rays that birth then throw creatures called broodlings) at the defenses, and would use mutalisks (flying shooty thing) and scourge to take out the players ship. If it got close enough it would grapple a ship, and deploy other zerg into it to destroy it.
