Kineticist Wild Talent Question

Rules Questions

Is a Blast considered a Wild Talent that can be picked up that way? I ask because my young Earth Kineticist would like to get the energy blast for those times when it would be more feasible.

The Concordance

How would go about acquiring one?

You can't use the Extra Wild Talent feat, because the effective level of a Blast Wild Talent is half your Kineticist Level, and the feat only grabs you lower level Talents the feat limits you to non-Blast Wild Talents.

The only way to get a blast talent currently is through the "Kinetic Blast" or "Expanded Element" class features. So as "Dragonfly" observes, there's no way to do what you want to do. You'll have to wait until level 7 and pick an element with an energy blast in order to have an energy blast.

It's not a kinetic blast, but a kineticist with 13 Cha could take Skill Focus (Knowledge (Planes)) and Eldritch Heritage (Elemental bloodline) to pick up the Energy Ray bloodline power in their chosen element.

Alternately, an elf, gnome, or half-elf with 10 Cha can take the Arcane Talent feat to pick up either acid splash or ray of frost as a spell-like ability usable 3x/day.

Any character can take the Additional Traits feat and, as long as they don't already have a magic trait, select Magical Talent to gain acid splash or ray of frost as a spell-like ability usable 1x/day, as well as another trait.
