Are the Giant Octopus' tentacles considered bludgeoning?
This thread belongs in Rules Questions, but the answer is yes. The Universal Monster Rules have a table for most common types of natural weapons and tentacles are considered to do bludgeoning damage.
Weirdly, though, the damage of the giant octopus' tentacle attacks are listed as 1d4 while the table says that a large animal would do 1d6 damage with tentacles. Make of that what you will. Specific always trumps general, though, so you should probably go with the 1d4 damage.
