Set in the jungles of Chult.
Theme will be jungle, dinosaurs, lots of undead, and various wierd D&D creatures we haven't seen much of yet who exist in the unique ecosystem of Chult. Probably be seeing Yuan-Ti, lizardfolk, troglodytes, bullywugs, and much much more.
Primary villain is Acerack. Yup, it's the same bad-ass from Tomb of Horrors, and this time he's sucking up all the resurrection magic out of the world and it's your job to stop him.
Due to this, there will be a DM option to make survival more challenging. Death Saves may have an increased DC (15 or even higher), and *bad things happen* when you die. It's called "meat grinder mode."
This story line will be focused much more on the Exploration Pillar, making rangers much more useful to the game than previous storylines. The writing focus will be more sandbox than any previous storyline. The idea is to give a locale for DMs to introduce their own stories and adventures.
The feel reminds me a lot of "Dwellers of the Forbidden City," a module that had a plot to get you to an exotic and dangerous location, but then left it to the DM to decide what to do from there. It was all about exploring the jungle and discovering hidden secrets and fighting strange monsters.
Release date is September 8th, 2017.

The description sounds better than the title. :-)
Also sounds more interesting than Ruins of Azlant. But then I'm always a sucker for a decent dinosaur jungle sandbox. :-)
Boy, I couldn't disagree with you more there . . . but I've been waiting for an Azlant AP for nigh on seven years or so! ;)
But this one still sounds pretty fun, too.

My playes thought I was kidding when I showed them the pictures because I've been doing dinosaur jungle homebrew in between al-Qadim campaigns, I love Adventure Time… they couldn't believe WotC and I were thinking in the same zeitgeist. But I'm overjoyed.
Chult is pretty close to Hawa which is where my campaign is now. I'll just drop it in where it's supposed to be. Unlike Tamoachan, which I've moved from Maztica (its Toril location — I'm aware it has another Oerth location) to a lot closer.
We'll see if we ever get to it, we're five sessions in and they haven't done any real delving yet. So much drama

I was not going to buy any more gaming stuff, at least not stuff for the GM since I no longer have a campaign, but based on the link above and seeing the product at the FLGS... well, I bought it. A sad indicator of my impulse control when it comes to gaming schlock. :(
Am halfway through it and find it to be one of the best gaming products I have ever read for 3.PF-style games.
I thought the adventure also sounded a bit like X1: The Isle of Dread with its emphasis on exploration of a largely unknown island.
