AC-boosting ideas for a TWF Fighter?

Advice

Any suggestions for ways to boost the AC of a TWF Fighter (half-elf, level 10) that do not involve multiclassing?

The Exchange

use a shield, shield bash attack, improved shield bash.

I would advise that you should not focus on AC with your TWF: focus on attack bonuses and damage. If you focus on AC, your attack (and therefore your overall damage) will be lower. Much like a fighter using a two-handed weapon, your offense is your best defense. The faster you take things out (by hitting frequently and hard), the less damage you will take.

Glorf Fei-Hung has an easy option, but you'll need the Improved Shield Bash feat to retain your AC. Might as well take something like Shield Snag as well then, disarming opponents that rely on manufactured weapons can prevent them from full attacking you.

You can suddenly worship Gorum, take the Additional Traits feat and pick up Shield-Trained. Allows you to use a Heavy Shield as a light weapon for the purposes of TWF.

As for other ways, some feats: Additional traits for Defender of the Society, Armor Focus, Artful Dodge, Combat Expertise, Shield Focus, Greater Shield Focus, Lost in the Crowd.

Some items: +X Mithral Armor, +X Shield, +X Dexterity Belt, Amulet of Natural Armor, Bottled Yeti Fur, Dusty Rose Ione Stone, Ring of Protection, and if you have a lot of money, Falcon Crown.

hehe, make one of your weapons a shield.

There is the Quickdraw Shield, which can be drawn or put away as a Free Action. Keep it handy in the event that you lose Initiative. Then you retain your Shield Bonus to AC until you can open up your can of Whoopass.

Wear heavier Armor. I'd been thinking of having a Dwarf who takes a level in Paladin so he can use a Wand of Swift Girding to quickly get into his heavily modded Full plate. But you don't want to Multiclass. There's Mithril Full Plate + the Endurance Feat. There is Folding Plate.

Umm, take Blind Fighting Feats and carry an Eversmoking Bottle. When you pop the top off, you surround yourself with smoke in a 20' radius, everyone is Blinded. You, too, but you have those Blind fighting Feats. You might acquire the Scent Ability via the Racial Heritage Feat, but you'll probably do better with just Greater Blindfighting. Not improved AC: a 50% Miss Chance due to Total Concealment, still very nice.

2 Weapon Defense gives you a +1 AC, iirc. So Does Dodge. Mobility gives you a +4 (under the right circumstances).

There is the Animated Shield Enchantment.

The Sizore gives you a +1 Shield Bonus to AC.

Use a Shield, and make your off-hand weapon Armor Spikes or Unarmed Strike.

Unhindering Shield . An eventual 7 points of AC while wielding whatever weapons you want. If this isn't PFS, take the Advanced Armor Training - Armor Specialization (Full Plate) for a scaling bonus up to plus 5.

I also recommend going Dex based and grabbing Advanced Weapon Training - Trained Grace for even more AC with good damage, and hella accuracy with a bow.

There you go. Good damage, great AC and Touch only surpassed by a Monk.

shield in main hand shield in off hand twf with shields get the feat that removes twf penalties with shields and lets you use your shields ac enhancements as weapon enhancements retrain out of any fighter archetypes to vanilla fighter
