PaizoCon - Are all games PFS?

PaizoCon General Discussion

As it says on the label. I was thinking about going this year, but I thought (perhaps erroneously) that I would have to pre-join the Pathfinder Society to be able to do any gaming.

Is that the case? Or is there more casual gaming available as well?

There's a bunch of other stuff as well.

Even if you end up playing PFS, they'll have everything you need to get you setup on site.

It's painless and pretty much just involves handing you a business card sized sheet of paper.

Well, hat's not bad at all. Though it was more involved than that.

Thanks!

For GenCon, when you register for the games, all the PFS ones start with "PFS" in the title, but there are other games that are Pathfinder and do not have said designation. I assume PaizoCon does something similar.

And as Pirate Rob says, getting a single handout with the character information for a PFS pre-generated character can get you right into a game. I recommend bringing dice, a pencil, and the core rulebook if you can. Someone at the table will likely have a spare mini (since you may not know your class/gender/race going in [if you are playing a pregen]).
