While many folks celebrate May 4th as Star Wars Day, today is the actual 40th anniversary of the release of one of the most landmark films ever. Sure, it was flawed and a little corny, but it revolutionized sci-fi movies and the special effects were beyond believable for the time. So happy Star Wars Day. May the Force be with you, always.
Exactly. The 4th is the Disney Marketing celebration because it sounds cool.
But those of us who know better celebrate on this day. I wore my 40th Anniversary hat to work and am probably going to watch my unmodified version of STAR WARS before I turn in tonight.
